Anyone else think they could have used a wider selection of music?

 

They game is suppose to bridge the gap between PT and OT, would have been nice to have some ROTS music. Even though it takes place mostly in the OT doesn't mean you can't have PT music in it, love or hate the PT it has some of the best music in Star Wars (to some their only redeeming quality).

 

Would love to hear the song from the battle of coruscant while have a space battle over a planet.

Don't need PT music... it's OK but not as good as the OT sounds. But I would have enjoyed some cool remixes and variations like it was done in Tie-Fighter (which actually had a great score IMO, even if some of the tunes were a bit faster than the OT-Music) because frank is just a master of his art...

More music would always be good, but it can be added. I'd also would have liked to have some more PT music, though most of it still should be from the OT. Currently, there are at least the Coruscant chase music and the music when the droids attack on Naboo from Episode I.

I really lke what they did with the music. Seeing as it is set closer to the time period of the original trilogy I would expect more OT music. Im guessing that they are saving the other music for a expansion. Let's hope  ;D Though the prequel soundtracks were amazing and I defeinetely would love to play to them.

 

Also the new music made just for the game is excellent as well. It sure gives me a Star Wars feel.

Its not about OT music or PT music, it is just Star wars music and should have nothing to do with what time period it is in (ie KOTOR). SWG did do its music nicely (not much else), but the Lok and Dathomir themes were very well done, very fitting do the planets (I do believe the included mixes of the prequel stuff, I know they had some in there).

its a shame that the origional music for the game is blatantly synthesized. and doesnt really flow too well with the rest.

I really enjoyed the music selection for Battlefront 2, but I wish they would've had a mode where you could select which song you want to listen to. Music can make a difference in your performance. I wished that EAW had music from Episodes I, II, III, IV, V, and VI(I know my Roman numerals. Yey!). I loved the soundtracks to the new trilogy and wished that EAW had more of a selection from that.(from what I've heard)

The Imperial March never gets old in my opinion, no matter what form it's in. The Asteroid Field also adds great flavor to the battles as does the Battle of Yavin, but I still think they could have used more from the Battle of Hoth (great stuff in there ;D). Still though, I think some of the PT music would be excellent for space and land battles, seeing as how it's more battle-oriented than the OT, with the Clone Wars and all.

 

P.S. Does ANYONE know what this song is in the main intro?

I dislike that as well. It feels out of place, and some other music from the movie would work much better IMHO.

It is from the Phantom Menace soundtrack - but its from the 26 dollar Ultimate Star Wars edition. It is called:

NO ONE beats John Williams. Star Wars just isn't Star Wars without him. Maybe someday, you'll reach a point when you respect that.

I've already added all the music from all the movies (any that wasn't in there already, mostly ep III), music from KotOR, and some from Republic Commando.

 

All my favorite music's from the prequel trilogy, sorry. The only original music that beats it for me is the Emperor's Throne Room and Imperial March tracks.

It appears we both have great taste in John William's exellent soundtracks. As long as Duel of the Fates, Battle of the Heroes, and The Tide Turns/ The Death of Darth Maul is in there, I'll be happy. ;D (If you need this track, I just got it thanks to Popcorn ;D and would be happy to share it with you. It's the one on the EAW intro on the main site.)

Dude, you just listed my fav PT tracks...lol. And I couldn't. Mod would be too big to put in the files. Plus, there's some KotOR tracks I haven't converted from WAV to MP3 yet...Though maybe if I winrarred it it might be small enough...
