What about "other" on the poll? You guys know that GL is putting something out there so obvious, Palpatine-Sidious, the same,no. The one you are looking for is Qui-Gon, he was rebellious against the Jedi Council, think about it.
Yeah, Qui-gon was kind of the Jensaarai, wasn't he... He might have implored Kenobi to train the boy so that the boy could succumb to the Dark Side...

That's what you mean, isn't it, Bill?

You read my mind Scath, even though that isn't hard to do.
Well, as a Jensaarai, Qui-Gon could've sort of zigzagged between the Light Side and the Dark Side of the Force... Bcause the Jensaarai see the Force as neutral, he might have supported things the Jedi Council would view as Dark Side issues... What would or could Qui-Gon's motives have been to have Anakin switch to the Dark Side?

Actually Qui-Gon is not a Jensaarai but rather a Grey Jedi...

The Jensaarai are native to the planet Susefsvi, and their tradition is a result of an strange mixture of Sith techniques and Jedi teachings combined with their devotion to their group...

Grey Jedi are the ones you described...

If, Qui-Gon was an evil sith lord wouldn't you think he would want to be invisible almost? I mean think about it You stick out to much and you're cover could be blown. But I have been wrong before....

I think it's not so much that Qui-Gon was an evil Sith as he was a Greay Jedi (thanks for pointing that out, Trej! :D ). Qui-Gon may have foreseen that Luke Skywalker would be the one to bring balance to the Force; as a Gray Jedi, his vision might well have been less clouded by the Dark Side. He may also have forseen that Anakin had to fall for that reason...

On the other hand, I just remembered that you can hear Qui-Gon's voice yelling "Anakin, Anakin... No!" during Yoda's meditation when he senses the disturbance in the Force due to Anakin's slaughter of the Tusken Raider camp. So, I think it's safe to say that Qui-Gon intended for Anakin not to fall.

So, qui-Gon probably didn't delete the Kaminoan entry...

too bad about that AOTC line, I liked your Qui-Gon theory, it would have fit him better.
Well, it's only one line... you never know what GL will come up with.

Hey there Scathane!!! I have been wandering around the wilds of Montana doing geological mapping, them moving down to Texas, where I will be living to go to school. How has your summer been so far?

Waht is it about Mace that you think is off about him?
YOu know, its hard to say. Its just something about the way he listens to conversations, with Yoda and Obi-Wan for example. He just dosen't react the way someone who is high ranking in the Jedi order should. I guess you could say that I just sense the darkside in him, lol . Just watch TPM and AOTC againa nd just watch him really closely.

Its like that guy who ran for President agains Bush (Forbes? I think was his name). He just has a "wrong" look about him, like Christopher Walken or the guy who is the head vampire in "The Lost Boys." Trust me

Hmmm..., pity. I was hoping that you were able to give me a little bit more about Windu... What we do know is that he was familiar with the prophecy of the Chosen One... AND that he was one of the best lightsaber fighters of the Jedi Order in his day, having mastered the Form VII discipline of combat. So what? you might say... Well, it is said that only the most skilled of the Jedi could master Form VII, for its aggressive nature treaded dangerously upon Dark Side practices... 8)

My summer's been pretty good so far, by the way... :D

Yes, I noticed that about him... Shatterpoint will toss some light on Windu's past, but I have the hunch that some things willbe pretty ambiguos... :?

First off it has to have been a jedi to do it, and a known 1 at that.

GL has a tendency to NOT introduce wild cards, an example being luke discovering his sister is leia. I mean she is the only female character in the movie, so whe Kenobi says luke has a sister, the logical choice is leia.

Also, there is no reason for this to be a treachourous act, though it most likely is, since we know the result of it.

But it is only really Palpatine and probably Dooku who know the whole plan, though Palps might want to get rid of Dooku himself, because

A) he finds out Dooku is playing both sides, as Dooku does tell Obi-Wan the truth about Palps and to me does seem to want to help him, until Kenobi got nasty.

B) Wants Anakin at his side, as he is already starting to control Anakin and Anakin should be stronger.

It could be Anakin, because Palps has asked him to, saying we need this army to stay secret, for the Republics benefit, which is the only reason I see Mace Windu doing it, as it benefits the Republic, though i dont really see him doing it.

Also we DONT know when the K-File was erased or when Dooku was under dark side influence, which is why I VOTED THAT DOOKU DID IT

Good points, but that is what GL WANTS us to think, I believe, is that Dooko or Sifo-Dyas(/Qui-Gon, depending on yoru beliefs  ) did the dirty work. But I think that is all to easy. I am always looking for the curve ball to be thrown, he just dons't expect us to expect it.

Well i dont follow baseball, so a curve ball means nothing to me!

Also i have a hard time Sido-dyas has anything to do with it, or Qui-Gon for that matter

I believe Dooku, or even Palps himself, was acting under the assumed identity of Sifo-Dyas (Also in early drafts of the script, Sifo-Dyas as actually, SIDO-Dyas, which could roughly translate as Sidious, though this is only a assumption.)

Palps or Dooku could have had Dyas killed, or it was simply convenient that Dyas died at the time, which is why the identity was used.

Also about it being "All too easy" in the words of Darth Vader, Star Wars isnt supposed to be a mind boogling experience, that has u using every part of your brain to understand what is happening/going to happen, ESPECIALLY when we know the end ersult is Anakin --> Vader, Senator Palps--> Emperor Palps

Also bbecause we know this is going to happen

Does it matter that much about he K-File

Well, to you it seems to mean that much that you've spent 2 posts of 23 lines of 400 words and 1700 characters on the subject...

(by the way: that's 2109 characters if you include the spaces...)

Interesting hypothesis Dinochick, I am interested to see if you are right. :D
