[ROR] - Positions open!

Well, we're going to want to really push some of the elements of the game's engine with what we're planning on doing.  We're going to *need* a larger galactic map, and larger maps for the different locations with many more build slots.

 

I'd love to have a dedicated Galactic Mapper.

Just post a topic in the NMA forum, just so long as it begins with the prefic [ROR] we'll know its dealing with our mod.  I think it'll work easy enough.

No such thing as too many testers... The more machines we have running with different specs during testing, the more stable the end product will be.

 

Will still need a text file coordinator:  This is the guy that will be responsable for editing the DAT files which contain all the text information... from unit names and descriptions to the tooltips and so forth.

I'll beta if you like. Once some mod tools are out, I'll see if there's something else I can do if you need it. Kind of waiting for that before I can make any significant changes for my mod (doing basic changes currently).

i'd like to help, im learning scripting which i can do from work since im a civil servant (woo!) and i'm an experience beta tester so i can help with that too!

 

 

edit: forgot to add i model too!

 

im not the best modered there is and i generally do high polys - my only sw related model was an at-at with 2000 poly legs..that is each were 2000 polys

I would like to offer my services as an XML Scripter. I've mad several tutorials for XML scripting on this forum.

Good, right now I'm working on the second installment of ROR Foundation, it adds and changes a number of things, but before I release it I'm going to overhaul the damage system (AGAIN).  I think I just came up with a more efficient way to do it.  ;D

 

I really don't need all that much help right now, once we get an SDK of some sort where we can edit and input models, that will quickly change, until then what we can do is pretty restricted.

 

hmm... I think there may be a bug with the Slave I when it lands on the planet, a really tiny ship drops in.  Could you find out how the Falcon and Transports have properly scaled landing models while the Slave I doesn't?

I noticed that a while back. I had never used Boba on the ground before, so I was really looking forward to seeing what he could do. But then the Star Wars equivalent of a clown car landed, and out he came. So, I rocketed him over to where the action was, and he was killed in one shot.

 

Oh well, that's realism!

Thats the thing, Slave I doesn't have a seperate landing model.

Unless it has a landing .ala file, I don't think it would be possible. If it does, then yeah, just make a landing clone like all the other ships have. Edited by DragonShadow
