Shadowtrooper Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I've noticed that the tag points to the txt files with ship names (ie: "Avenger"), but when I try to add this tag to a ship that didn't originally have it (of course pointing it to my new "Venator_Destroyer.txt") it doesn't work. Anyone know how to make it work? And one more thing, the text that comes up when you hover you cursor over an object...how does one alter that? The name, class, description, all of that. Sorry for all the questions, just hopin' to try something. reddogzl Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 to answer your second question i beleive that the info in that little gui is actually located at the top of the coding for each unit, thats where the units it storg against and weak against are located atleast
dw333 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 the weak/strong against are just there for reference, they mean nothing to the AI, or game otherwise. Dan WilliamsMod Project : Star Wars - Civil War (v0.3)
Zer_Teron Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 If you want to change the ship class name or description then download the DAT Editor, go into the MasterTextFile and add the line TEXT_UNIT_?????????, then in text put the Ship name. Then add the line, TEXT_TOOLTIP_??????? and in text put the description in. Then go to the units XML and change its TEXT_ID, to the name you put instead of the TEXT_UNIT_?????. And modify the TEXT_TOOLTIP to the name you changed to, then in game it should have the Name and Description you gave it. As for giving it random names, i have no idea http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/3488/zersigef1.jpg
