I tried to do some of the models of Masa_Solo's list a while ago... Nothing with textures (that's too complicated for me), but I ran into some complications. During tactical battle parts of them would look transparent, etc....

Dookus's ship is a Solarsailer.

 

Yes, I mean the big nubian cruiser from the begining of Episode II and I like to have the other one, which Padme and Anakin used.

 

YT-3000 is a corellian ship,seen in the capture of Coruscant Rebellion cinematic. She destroys the mark of the Empire from the Imperial Palace. a ship model for XWA is downloadable.

 

YV-666 is the type of Bossk's ship, the Hound's tooth.

 

I have checked my Rebed cards, and I would like to have these models next to my list.

and fighters are easy to make so i reccomend all of you that want new fighters to find a nice card and modify the excess stars from it or create it using bit map you're call. dont forget to check "the mask"s fighter tutorial posted under textures in the down load section he has osme awsome models for all of the current things that reb stards with but the y qing and bomber instead there is the e-wing and the tie scimitar

i think fighters would be the easiest...but there werent really many new ones during the Thrawn Era were there? just the e-wing i believe...maybe the new republic defender?

The NR-defender ? I only know of the Tie Defender. Does it have another name, maybe ?

actually, i had never heard of it until a couple of days ago. it's in the unofficial encyclopedia at theforce.net, so i assume it's canon. i think it was in some comics, and maybe even a book. here's the excerpt from that website:

Defender

this in-system starfighter was developed by the New Republic in the wake of the Battle of Endor, although it saw its greatest popularity after the death of Grand Admiral Thrawn. The primary mission of the 5.3-meter-long Defender was to defend planets against Imperial raids. Although it lacked the speed of a A-Wing, the Defender was well-armed and highly maneuverable. It two wings were mounted on S-foils, and could stowed alongside the fuselage during routine patrols or extended outward and downward when in attack posture. It was armed with three laser cannons, one on the nose and one on each side of the fuselage. In order to save space and weight, the Defender was not equipped with a hyperdrive.

 

the fighter is listed as having been in 'the darkstryder campaign'(RPG) and also Specter of the Past....it's the ship Mara takes down to that Chiss planet from her freighter.

as pviddy said it is maneuverable but doesn't have a hyperdrive.

go to masks site at http://kickme.to/woodsboro/ for all the others tools i believe that u need (you'll probably want to go to the english page, link at bottom of masks site)

also since the models u will proabably want are in XWA already, u can goto http://www.darksaber.freeserve.co.uk/ to get a opt23ds tool, though if u dont have X-Wing Alliance, it wontmatter anyway

thanks alot Mask, Ive had a few pc problems lately and have been away as well, so i havent had much of a chance to download your tutorial but i just did and had a look at it and its easier then i thought would be, good work on the tutorial to, i found it easy to understand and pretty straight forward.

Thanks I think that indicates, that I did my job right

 

I was just disappointed, that with a picture with larger resolution the DS laser would start somewhere "above" the DS. Oh well, can't have everything.

yea, i would say you did your job right, i didnt use any of the models in the tutorial, i used the ingame DS2 which i heard rumors existed but i never took the time find it. So basicully all i did was just took the DS2 and copied it to the DS1 slot.

 

But without your guide i wouldnt have had a idea on to where to start looking or the exact process on how to copy it over, so once again, thanks for the help
