jedi mike Posted January 31, 2006 Share Posted January 31, 2006 Hey i never really used them till now but the assult frigate is good if used right kind of weak and I'm not crazy about how it looks its kinda of weird looking no offence developers but those are minor flaws and Ive found it really useful to use the assult frigates to flank the enemy if it works then u have a decent war ship bearing down from the sides and if they see u they have enough strength to escape its kinda like the ugly duckling people under estimate and bam it blowing apart those victories and SD i have found a place for it in my fleet ;D "Nothing beats a good blaster at your side"Han Solo My screen name online is (PFF)Jedi_Mike Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It makes since too. Assault Frigates were just modified Rendili Dreadnaughts. Unless delphi releases stats to us that make sense the original ASF will be the best. This applys to the tartan, broad, and space stations. Their designed to support larger warships, mainly by drawing fire from enemy ships, or by causing damage while the enemy focuses on the bigger ships. Outside a dog, a book is man's best friend. It reminds me too much of the Decimator from Star Wars: Galaxies(god I hate SOE for what they did to that game, but that is a rant for another time...). Back on topic, I think one of the first mods I will download is to change the Assault frigate to the cersion from X-Wing Alliance. The difference between this game and other games is it is a star wars game. How a ship looks plays a big role in this game. I want to see ships I know and want them to look and feel star warsy, the broadside just doesn't do it. Now I know delphi said there were originally 50 models but they were cut down for ships that fitted certain roles.
