Just finished moddin generals .. so i moved on to EAW .. nice and easy to learn :D

 

 

but any more experienced modders know if you could have hardpoints in buildings or ground units.. per say.. attacking an at at's neck with missiles?

Actually the turreted ground vehicles already use hardpointing, its just not damagable.  They work the same way that the hardpoints on the Corellian Corvettes work.

wait.. does this game make every turret a hard point.. and the source of the engine as hard points.. in generals u defined stuff like that with a small diamond shaped bone. whos name corresponded to its use... normally

 

 

. if so.. hardpoints might not be hard at all to make.. ... just enabling it to show it on ground battles.. hmm

You need a model for each hitpoint plus the overall unit.  I think the unit entries are generic enough that they can be applied to ground units.  I am also fairly certain that if the Corvettes use hard points, they are defined in a completely different way than large capital ships.
