So far I've heard nothing but diverse opinions about the movie. They range from 'bullsh..' to 'yeah, when does part III come out ?'. One guy studying with me actually complained, that they changed the matrix itself. I just pointed out, that the way he imagined the matrix was wrong. That made him stumble, mentally Another thing I liked was the almost shakespearian monologues from Smith. He became a separate power within the matrix, like the merowin... (however that name is written ) and I think he will play a good-sized part in the downfall of the matrix, wether he wants it, or not. Another one of the things, I came up with thinking about, was this: at the end Neo could stop the squiddies with his will. dinochick Posted July 11, 2003 Posted July 11, 2003 OK, well here are my thoughts on the movie:1) We already have super man; we don’t need Neo copying him, that just reeked of cheese. 2) Someone needs to tell Morphus/Fishburn that he’s no Mel Gipson and to keep the "rousing talk" a bit shorter ("They may take our lives, but they'll never take....our FREEDOM!!!")3) The whole Rave/Orgy thing was just to promote their crapy soundtrack4) Jahled, you hit it right on the head with the whole Jehovah's Agents, brilliant!5) Then, after watching the entire film, I even stuck around through the credits in hope that the trailer for the Matrix 3 would be good, but it sucked tooAll of this is just MO, mind you, so no offense. It makes you feel like you are in that World. Those types of movies are my favorite. I think that is why I liked Matrix, and Matrix Reloaded. They are definitely "Fiction" but the way th story is told it makes you think.

dude21 Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 I was very disappointed about MATRIX RELOADED .Maybe my expections were too high but it wasnt the Movie I want to saw.A main reason was the fully senseless story. The Special effects were not bad but no revolution.But some of my friends found the film great so maybe its a matter of opinion. "I am growing stronger with the Force"

In part two you know the lines and it isn,t so surprising anymore. I had the same with the mummy returns, Great movies but the sequel wasn't as amazing as the 1st because I already knew why, how etc. it wasn't surprising me anymore. Juunana Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 Personally, I thought it was excellent. The fight scenes were captivating, the dialogue was at least decent for the most part (Zion scene excluded ), and the plot continues to be intruiging. My biggest dislike about the movie was that the Zion orgy/Trinity and Neo sex scene went on too long. It just didn't seem to fit and was rather awkward. I don't see a problem with Neo being able to fly. Superman doesn't have that ability trademarked or anything. It just shows you how powerful his character has become. The plot with Smith has become extremely interesting to me. His transformation into a virus-like entity is very cool, and I'm interested to see where they'll go with it. Although I liked the original Matrix a bit better, I still thoroughly enjoyed the Matrix Reloaded. I can't wait for November 5th. ^^ http://forumpic18.homestead.com/files/juunana2.jpg
masterjojobinks Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 I liked the all but about 5-7 minutes of the movie. The *cover eyes* celebration *cover eyes* scene was totally unnecessary. Yes, a scene of celebration should have been in there and the love scene with Neo and but the nudity/orgy was the down fall in my mind. But I am a Christian and don't like to see that kind of thing. The rest of the movie was a good continuation of the first. The action scenes where great and the fact that neo is not all powerful was also shown (Big Smith fight). The fact that Neo can fly only proves that with an open enough mind you can do anything. Yes, I agree there are lots of unanswered questions but that is what the third movie is for. The only reason there is a third movie is because they (Movie makers) did not think they could market a 4+ hour matrix movie. Anyway, I liked 98% of the movie. The third movie is on my list to see this fall.
