Stellar_Magic Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Well I just conducted an experiment using my copy of the Demo to try and find out just how large a formation of units the game can handle... I modified my Ground Company Rebel XML file so that a formation of Rebel Infantry was enormous... just how big. 3 "Squads" of 120 men... I had fraps running and I ended up with having a mere 2 Frames a second when the cinematic camera watched the formation... but that was with FRAPS actually recording and Graphics to full! HOLY S*** This engine can easily support much larger battles then what it shipped with! RogueJedi Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 It can handle bigger battles on your system
Teradyn_pff Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Yes, that is a good point RogueJedi. Remember what the current level of technology can handle and then look at the minimum specs. My Death Star is bigger than your Death Star!"The XML is strong with this one!"http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/0/teradyn.png
DragonShadow Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Don't let the rebels gather like, two hundred transports on max graphics settings, you'll get like, 3 fps or less. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h65/NightshadowDragon/RyuuKageSIG.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h65/NightshadowDragon/AoSW-JCW_Banner.jpg
Necro Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 someone said it started to lag when they added 100 planets on the gal map
Iamme Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 someone said it started to lag when they added 100 planets on the gal mapThat's because of a (suspected) memory leak.
