I nevered like Stephen King too much...he creeps me out and I, personaly, think he is disturbed. I wonder if something odd happened to him during his childhood.... The only Stephen King I have ever liked is The Shashank Redemption (sp?).

That was an excellent book, SOCL.
Indeed.

At the moment I am being forced to read three books for an advanced placement English class and write one, one-page essay on each chapter of each book. And if I don't finish the assignment by the first day of school and turn it in then, I'll be kicked out of the class. Sigh. There goes my stressfree, carefree summer. The books are:

    -Walden by Henry David Thoreau
-On Writing Well by William Zinsser
-The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien

Along with that, they have a list of nine books I have been expected to all ready have read. Luckily I have read eight out of the nine. So, to add to the list of books I have to read is:

    The Odyssey By Homer

:x I had a pretty big stack of books I had planned to read for enjoyment...but now.... :x There goes that.

Is that Homer Simpson? :lol::lol::lol:
 I wish; it would make things go by A LOT faster if it was! Page 1: D'oh!, Page 2: Prologue, Page 3: Chapter 1, Page 4: Epilogue, Page 5: The End. And when I say that that's what would be on the page, I mean that's all that would be on the page.

I'm sure Admiral Antilliles would have gotten to the question sooner or later :) . What other types of books are you reading. Add the name of the book(s) since I can't put that in the poll :D

Personally, I read Fantacy. I'm reading a book series called the Malazan Book of the Fallen. Great series if not a little bit violent... maybe that's what is so good about it. You can only get it in Canada right now but it's comming out in the U.S. soon. It's written by one Steven Erikson.

What is that supposed mean thrawn? :D To stay on subject, I read fantasy and sci fi books and the best one of all, The Holy Bible.

I must admit to have never read the Holy Bible in it's entirity(sp?). Having not grown up in a religious family I was never exposed to it. I have tried to read it but have never made it past page 100 or so.

Yeah, that has happened to me more than once...and my dad is a chaplain (a military pastor/preacher)! Ironic, ehh? You might want to, if you're still interesting, try to find a Bible that has you read a little from here and little from here, skipping around, but still giving you relevent points that connects, that way you don't get bored with the "this guy had this guy, who had this guy, who had this guy, who had this guy...etc". My Bible is like that and I have yet to get bored, thus far.

My German teacher claims that the Bible is the best novel ever written...
Well, it is the number one best seller of all time.

If you have a hard time understanding the Bible try an Application Bible wormie. It speaks in well...English. If you have not read the Bible in a while I encourage you to do so. :D

SOCL, I was at my local Indigo Books on the weekend, and I happened to notice that they had Cowboy Bebop comics/graphic novels. Just thought that I would let you know in case you didn't already.

Yeah, my baby sister (she's just younger by two years, I simply call her that) owns the entire BEBOP manga collection and is going to buy the COWBOY BEBOP 2 series, even though it looks kind of stupid. Thanks, though! :D

Hey, wormie, have you seen any such for GUNDAM? Specifically a manga series called Mobile Suit GUNDAM: The Origin?
