Gen.Vader Posted December 9, 2005 Share Posted December 9, 2005 maybe, i have a concern for this though with people who ask/apply for moderdom, it becomes increasingly harder to determine who will actually be good enough to mod and who isnt. im not saying that all of the current moderators are the only fit canadiates, but as nevets and popcorn have prolly learned by this time, they are like the 17-18th members which is sort of unnessecary, since at most i think that we would only need about 10 moderators, 1 for each forum to look after, and i feel that the rank of moderator is just being given out as a reward or gift(dummy), and not based on actual competence. excluding the new moderators, i have only ever seen at most, 8 moderators excersising thier power over the forum. but hey, your in the club, i have given my speech, so lets go grab a keg of my whiskey and drink in the maw, brooding all the untold secrets of EAW....Cheers! I have noticed I am one of many moderators here, unlike the EaW.net were im about one of five or six. As long as Moderator-ship is given out excessively than I dont think it is that big of a deal. Though I do think that Moderators that dont do their job shouldnt be allowed to still be a Mod. Ghostly_Substance Posted December 9, 2005 Share Posted December 9, 2005 There maybe tons of moderators but ever think of work and school coming in the way so one day I might get stuck in school and some troll signs up and spams the forum like a maniac and then 4 people start posting virus threads, pming people random crap and only barely any moderators? I'm not saying it could happen but something near those lines could happen and did in a small scale. second yes it may be unnecessary but also it keeps the forum safe since if someone starts a flame bye bye flamer threads. Dummy is a bot.
