Not sure on how far you can jump at a time, but it works as a "click and drag", where you select what units you want to move in galactic mode and drag them to the planet you want them to go to, so i guess you can jump in quite a distance provided your not dragged out by an intordector (for give the spelling). also there are hyperspace lains between the planets, and in some places there are trade routs which allow you to move faster and you also get extra income for controlling all the points along the route.

so they will respawn after all... oh well, it doesn't matter.

more of an exp system I'm talking about survival: I mean worked units, that lived battle after battle will be more skilled than newcomers?

- I have you now!

- Obi-wan never told you what happened to your father...

- If you only knew the power of the Dark Side...

- Evacuate?In Our Moment of Triumph?*BOOM*

No, newcomers will be just as good as worked units. I don't understand why, though, it's only logical for them to gain experience.

They said that you will end up losing units fast, so adding experience might have little to no effect because units would not likely survive long enough to get very experienced. Just imagine. With each ground assault (if neither person retreats) a whole planetary assault or defense force will be lost. That's a high turnover of units.

The problem which can be solved if units can surrender or rout independently of their commanders ;). Because let's face it, in real life, its very hard to be fighting to a battle that you will obviously lose, much easier to surrender and hope to live. And then you can make the surrender probability depend on how often you execute your POWs. Heh.

Oh, forget it, someone will just mod it in :D.

There is no experiance already

Good one Sherlock! :D

They know that. They are just arguing about wether or not it should be in, or should be modded in. I think no because look at BFME. The units started out too weak, but then grew stronger. This would make the units in EAW too weak, which would not be good. Also, the units don't last very long anyway. It won't be much of a point to add experience when they die soon anyway. It is a cruel universe!

There's no evidence of that at all. I'm beginning to think they don't, since Petroglyph would probably have mentioned it by now.
