But if it's not story driven then how can Petro force a mission on you? Anyway I was talking with Swiftdraw and he said that most likely you will "research" the xwing. I just can't see them making you steal (or preventing the stealing of) the xwing plans at the beginning of every scenario.

he knows that in the campaign or story driven missions, yes you DO STEAL THE PLANS

 

but in a scenario where you can conquer the galaxy anyway you can, does it make sense to HAVE to steal the xwing plans EVERY SINGLE TIME IN EVERY DIFFRENT SCENARIO? thats why he is asking if it is researchable or attained in other ways since playing the same mission over an over in the scenario games is just a little frustraitng.

 

get it? he isnt talking about the story driven campaign, but the non linear scenarios

OK, well in that case you may be able to chose how advanced you want to start, or you can start from scratch.

 

I.E. you can decide to start with all the tech available to you in the scenario, or you can start with what you would start with for the campaign.

 

So i would guess depending how you want to play, you can probably start with the x-wing or you will have to do the mission to get it.

I hope they'll release expansions for the Revenge of the Sith, the empire strikes back and the return of the jedi...

Only the last 2 I will agree on since when we start off we would have Revenge of the Sith stuff. Maybe there could be a scenerio but thats about it I think for RotS.

I don't, that could all fit on one exapansion, I would hope they wouldn't go cheap on us and do them in increments, get them all done at once.

I don't think that, from what we have seen so far, an expansion that will be released will be done as soon or as accurately as the mods that will follow release. There are alot of things that need to be fixed in this game on release that will be done by mods first. Any expansion will probably have the same problems.
