How easy or difficult would it be to add modded units into an otherwise vanilla game?

Let's just be crazy and hypothetically say that I wanted to add the Legacy of War Yuzhan Vong Worldship for the Rebels. Would this be an easy-as-pie operation to create a new unit in the game's files, and simply add in the model? Or would it be more difficult?

My guess is you need a file for the model, one for the ship specs/sizes/weaponry/shield etc and one for the textures.

Say you want a customised star destroyer, you would only need the one file because the modle and textures are already in game. Then you just open up the file for ship specs and adjust it as you see fit with custom size, weapons etc...

It's hard to say, seeing as we don't ahve any real info on this aspect of the game other than it uses XML files and is easy to mod. :?

and do you think you'll be able to change the statistics of the units, like increasing someone's *coughdarthvadercough* strenghth or Force abilities?
