No. Delphi has said 100 times that it is only in a planet, or on ground.

 

Well, there are planets that have sateroid belts, and when you destroy a planet, you can battle where the asteroids are (the remains of the planet), and in land, you can battle in islands, so, there are a lot of places to battle, the only one that isn't in the game is the blank region of space

 

Hehe, smart alec! Look at the 47 or 10 min. video and you can see ships going into the asteroid field around a planet, but you can't fight in some random asteroid field. I was just trying to clarify that. The only battles are the ones taking place in the space around a planet, or on the planet.

They have shown fighting in Nebula's, since when where Nebula's located around planets?

BTW, if the game is editable like described in the first post, will you be able to add new music?

From what they said, yes. They have stated that it is easy to add new units into the game, which is usually the hardest part in a mod, so it should be very easy to add new music.
