Bill Posted May 25, 2003 Posted May 25, 2003 How long was longest Rebellion game? I'm working on one that's at 1400. The force is strong in my family. No, Luke, I am your father.
0 dude21 Posted June 4, 2003 Posted June 4, 2003 My longest game was 18,236 days! My best game was 47 days when I was the rebels. I took Coruscant captured the Emperor and Vader. 47 Days is realy short my best was 200 days and I luckily found Vader shortly and the Emperor is always on Coruscant but in 47 days... well the way from Yavin to Sesswena is about 50 days long "I am growing stronger with the Force"
0 Guest Admiral_Antilles Posted June 4, 2003 Posted June 4, 2003 I had a fleet on Yaga Minor and Xyguine (sp?) and they got there in time and destroyed the fleets there 1 ISD and took the planet a real easy game.

I suppose you could do that and that is a very interesting tactic, catch them offguard before they can even begin to think about reacting. Personally, I like to let them build up and have somewhat of a challenge, but after that... SOCL: Putting the BE in BEAK.Read the Forum Rules - Welcome the New Members - Rebellion Reloaded -

What ships or how many ships did you have as your starting fleet? It must have been an impressive fleet to take out an ISD as well as the TIE's that are on Coruscant. Lost a planet Master Obi-Wan has, how embarrassing. - Yoda Do not count a human dead until you've seen his body, and even then you can make a mistake. - Bene Gesserit saying

So actually, I can see a small fleet taking out an ISD and the accompanying TIEs. SOCL: Putting the BE in BEAK.Read the Forum Rules - Welcome the New Members - Rebellion Reloaded -

That must be a x-wing difficult game try it with Deathstar Then over Coruscant are around 10 ISD and 20 VSD and many supportships like DNs or Carracks. And than it takes u a long time with Luke, Han and others to sabotage all the ships "I am growing stronger with the Force"

Even 1 ISD and 6 TIE's are more than a match for a couple of Dreadnaughts or some Corvettes. Right? Even 1 ISD and 6 TIE's are more than a match for a couple of Dreadnaughts or some Corvettes. Right? You would think so, but I've seen my friends attack a Rebel fleet of Dreadnaugts and corvettes with two ISDs with full TIE squadrons and lose! I think it's not only a matter of firepower and amount, but also the user and tactics. SOCL: Putting the BE in BEAK.Read the Forum Rules - Welcome the New Members - Rebellion Reloaded -
0 Guest Admiral_Antilles Posted June 6, 2003 Posted June 6, 2003 I had two Coreilian Corvettes and 1 Carrier, 4 x wing squadrons! tHAT WAS IT!
0 SOCL Posted June 6, 2003 Posted June 6, 2003 I had two Coreilian Corvettes and 1 Carrier, 4 x wing squadrons! tHAT WAS IT! let me guess, you're a good tactician, right? SOCL: Putting the BE in BEAK.Read the Forum Rules - Welcome the New Members - Rebellion Reloaded -
0 dude21 Posted June 6, 2003 Posted June 6, 2003 Thats difficult the 4 x-wing squads are to weak but if the TIEs are down the ISD is to weak to shoot them down und u won with 2 X-Wing squads remaining, right? "I am growing stronger with the Force"
0 glandry Posted June 6, 2003 Posted June 6, 2003 Sounds reasonable to me. Use the Corvettes and the Carrier to take out the Ties then go after the ISD. Use the X-Wings right away on the ISD. I'd bet on the Rebels with this match up.

0 SOCL Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 Not really, I just got lucky, I guess or maybe I'm gifted! Kid, I've been from one side of my house to the other...in my experience there is no such thing as luck. That lucky, ehh? You should study tactics and harness that luck. 0 SOCL Posted June 8, 2003 Posted June 8, 2003 Maybe I will. You should consider looking up Hannibal Barca, Alexander the Great, Erwin Rommel, and Napoleon Bonaparte. SOCL: Putting the BE in BEAK.Read the Forum Rules - Welcome the New Members - Rebellion Reloaded -
0 dude21 Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 Erwin Rommel I like the guy and I read the big 1000 page Biographie of him and it was great "I am growing stronger with the Force"
0 SOCL Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 Erwin Rommel I like the guy and I read the big 1000 page Biographie of him and it was great Yes, indeed. Have you read ATTACKS (also printed as Infantry Attacks) by him? It's about him in World War I when he was a platoon leader. It's really good (or is that the book you're talking about?). 0 Guest Admiral_Antilles Posted June 19, 2003 Posted June 19, 2003 Maybe I will. You should consider looking up Hannibal Barca, Alexander the Great, Erwin Rommel, and Napoleon Bonaparte. Thanks SOCL, I will look into those subjects thanks for the help. I am thinking of going into the military, what would be the best branch of military to enter for my gift. I ask you because you know more about it than more than anyone else on these froums. (I think).

I ask you because you know more about it than more than anyone else on these froums. (I think). If u want to be a Admiral u need to go to the Navy and need very much patiance and if u are 60 jears old mybe u are a admiral "I am growing stronger with the Force"
0 SOCL Posted June 19, 2003 Posted June 19, 2003 If you want to be a general and direct ground forces: join the Army (via AROTC or West Point). If you want to be a general and direct air forces: join the Air Force (via AFROTC or the Air Force Academy). If you want to be a general and direct amphibious forces: join the Marine Corps (via either MCROTC or the Naval Academy...and be in the top of your class). If you want to be an admiral and direct naval forces (fleets): join the Navy (via NROTC or the Naval Academy). Of course, it takes A LOT longer to become an admiral (because the Navy promotes slower) then to be a general. You see, a Naval captain (equal to an Army colonel) is about the age of an Army major general or lieutenant general...that's how slow. Hope you do join the military, Antilliles, but don't do it unless you're REALLY sure about it or else you shall regret it.
