Protecting the world from those who have an IQ higher than 30! Huzzah! Trust me...I'm a professional. Some other members and I are trying to be superheroes and save the forums. I find re-building ships and naming them after previous ones a more likely scenario than Luke getting stepped on by an AT-AT and comig back. Not any one person on the ship, but the ship as a whole is a beacon of hope to it's allies and a source of fear to it's enemies. I think ship can most definitly be heros of sorts. I think that Luke did take unofficial command of Red Group (squadron) after Red Leader died, but this was basically a temporary leadership position on the battlefield. They would have had to make it official after the battle was over. And by destroying the Death Star and saving the entire rebel command staff, I think they wouldn't be too hesitant to promote him, don't you?
