80+ Planets in EAW

It was mentioned in the LA forum by LEC Rogue that the number of planets was change to 80 because of the lobbying from the PFF clan.

 

I also confirmed since it was already confirmed it was done. If you look carefully for the "Theres 80 planets?!" topic (Hint, not posted by Cheese but some other person) you'll see people flippin out

I think they're more likely confused and acting on old info. Think eighty environments. Yeah, that's 40 planets. I know they say planets, but if you recall all the old info 40 was what we were originally meant to expect, with 40 ground areas and 40 space.

Thank Delphi-PG and whoever else worked on the maps There more planets more challenge and its better reason then resource problems If i'm out of resources its the planets fault

lol, fosh as much as 200 planets would be cool it would take alot longer to finish it if they decided to do it...

So then have an expansion pack which adds 80 more lol and of course new races and tech to use with your Empire or Rebels.

Acctually if it where me i would have stuck to the original plan with 40 or so planets and eventually come out with an expansion pack, 1. it would bring more income to the company,2. it wold have taken less time to develope but im not the comp programmer here so i trust them.

I think the suggestion was you had the choice of how many planets (Small, Medium, Large kind of thing), so you wouldn't have to play with the largest amount.

I think that large is 80, Medium is 60 and Small is around 30/40

I don't think you will be able to chose the size of the galaxy. Then you could only get certain heroes because the planets that others come from will be gone.

There will be a specific number of "Core Planets" which are in every size galaxy. Like Rebellion. Coruscant, Yavin, Hoth, Bespin etc will always be there as they are major planets but others like Bonadan and Mrsst May be only in Larger galaxies.

Rebellion had 200 planets, EAW has 40 or 80, not nearly as many. You won't be able to change the number of planets. Some hero or special ability comes from each planet. You don't want to play without those. The less the planets, the easier the Imperial have it. Less space to search.
