I know that there was a Empire's Central Commitee of Grand Moffs. But what were their duties? What was the commitee's use for? All It Takes For Evil To Flourish Is For Good Men To Do Nothing. Naja Posted October 25, 2005 Share Posted October 25, 2005 Moffs are Imperial sector (100+ star systems) governors. Grand Moffs either govern oversectors (any given amount of particularly rebellious sectors in one concentrated area) or regions (10+ sectors). Moffs have direct economical, political, and military control of their territories, and report to the Grand Moff above them. Grand Moffs have the same level of control and report directly to the Emperor, but only oversector Grand Moffs (like Tarkin) have military control within their realm of governance. Probably because Hutt Space was simply an Imperial protectorate, and the Moff was the real power behind a Hutt figurehead. Happens all the time in the real world...even today.
