sweet, its a baby ISD then, load up on those and terrorize then switch to ISDs once i really get angry! or sadistical...or maybe evn a little....mad?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA :twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted:

Not really more like similer ships built to fill two different jobs. The Imperator is a powerful ship to ship weapon with enough fighters and bombers to defend the ship andtake out key parts.

The Venator however is about the opposite. Most of its intire mass is built to hold massive amounts fighters. Enough to cover other ships intercept enemy and torpedo the hell out of any ship foolish enough to let ARC fighter near it. Along with that it hold a enough weapons to put up a decent fight. That and its speed make it very formatible.

The ISD is still better but the Venator is a force to be reconed.

the Juggies were big wheeled tank type things that were really slow and out classed by later imperial walkers, right?

Yup. Though they weren't slow, quite the opposite (Just watch the A6 in ROTS). They were just phased out and handed to Outer Rim forces. Even so, most planetary garrisons liked them better than the AT-ATs, so they did find a niche (kinda like the Venator with it's carrying capabilities, if that's what it does in the game).

The Eta-2 and Delta-7 could be used by non-Force sensitives (especially the Eta-2 was used by ordinary Republic and early Imperial pilots), but eventually the were phased out.

Welcome to the forums Nightmarenny...

I was thinking, if the venerator is your 'fighter carrier', what fighters is it going to have? Ties would be the obvious suggestion, but considering the start time of the game and the fact the rebels will have the no X-wings it makes sense the Imperials might get something pre-tie. A custom petroglyph ship maybe?

Maybe, but it might also have V-wings, Eta-2s or ARC-170s...

Possibly the TIE fighter (white one, seen in ANH) rather than the grey TIE/ln (from ESB, ROTJ).

I understand people being a bit disappointed, afterall info has only been slowly leaked out so it's hard not to want specific units. =)

Keep in mind we are working to make a very fun game based around the episode 4 time-line. Also, we do have a variety of old tech units (EP 3 Venitor) in the game.

Just hang tight, Lucas will release more info very very soon. In the mean-time I leak as much as I can. :P

 Loll :D The Ep 3 Venitor (Venator) is not official yet I think - Are you sure said that ?! (*I'm useing force powers Kenobi style) - "I think you ment Aclamator"...

 Thank you Chris for the good leak :) You are a great community representative.

If he's a Petroglyph employee, then what he says is offical.

Besides, the Acclamator has been known for months, ever since the start of the project. That is nothing new.

Well for fighters in the Imperial Fleet...

V-wing is possible (Great they have two craft with the same name, dumb LEC)

Jedi Starfighters (Technically most of the models were designed for the open market so non-forceusers could utilize them)

T.I.E. Fighter (Very first model produced, supposably used by the Republic during th Clone Wars)

TIE Fighter (Vessel seen in ANH)

TIE/In Fighter (Vessel seen in ESB and ROTJ)

 Loll I know that - I was making fun. And I will not call him a "Petroglyph employee" :) he is more like a Petroglyph family member ;). I think no one can imagine Petroglyph without Chris enthusiasm around.

Small note:

It's written TIE/in, lowercase letters. :)

It stands for Interceptor.

The normal TIE's you see in the movies is designated TIE/ln (LN). Many people get confused by this, which isn't surprising since a capital I looks almost exactly the same as a lowercase l at first glance. ;)

We were talking about the TIE/LN fighter (that's not how I've seen it spelled, btw.), not the TIE/in.

Yes, I realise you may have seen this written with capital letters (hell even StarWars.Com writes some models with a capital letter and some with lowercase letters, why shouldn't others also get it wrong. :P ), but the propper typing is lowercase.

My reply was mostly towards Stellar_Magic.

All I'm saying is that I've met many people (not saying anyone here, don't get me wrong) have been misstaking the TIE/ln to mean the TIE Interceptor, when in fact it is the standard TIE Fighter we saw in all the Original Trilogy movies.

It's ment to be informative, not to start up a debated and hijack this thread. :)

Okay, one more time. :)

TIE/ in = Interceptor

TIE/ ln = Front Line Fighter

I've put spaces in after the / just so it is easier to see the I and L

Ah, I thought you wrote it TIE/LN (it was just to explain 'ln')

Now I get it, all is well. ;)

T.I.E. fighter + Eta-2 ---> TIE fighter ---> TIE/ln and TIE/In (introduced in roughly the same timeframe)

Don't poke the curmudgeon with a stick. We tend to bite the stick and hand included when provoked. Or sometimes because we are just like that.

Sorry, I didn't mean to poke. :P
