Where the flip do I get bolts of wool or something like that? Trying to get better armor but if I knew I would have done it by now.

edit: Ok 3 bolts of Cloth and how I do that?

Salvaging items give them. I forget which specifically, but if you get a normal savage pack for 100g and use it on the useless junk you pick up it should eventually give some. Stuff specifically for salvaging usually gives the best results. Usually as a rule, the higher the level of the salvaging piece, the more resources you'll get out of it.

Where abouts in the game are you? If I had some idea I could look into what local drops gives them.

sorry, got to this a bit late to help. :?

But yeah, I know where you are now. You'll probably find that the Charr drop quite a few sets of thier own armour you can't wear and probably sell. They tend to be best in the area to salvage bolts of cloth from, and you'll probably get tanned hide from them as well.

You have to capture them from bosses. You can only have one elite in your skill selection at a time though because they're usually pretty powerful.

It's a lot later in games so I wouldn't worry about it just yet.

I had a white monk and a warrior/monk when I played in the beta. The pure monk was the most fun since I enjoyed playing the role of savior many times (as in having to res the entire party while trying not to aggro) and I didn't have to worry about dying as often since I stuck near the back. Not to mention since I specialized in nothing but healing and protection, I was in high demand and leveled up very quickly. My tank character was fun also, but there were so many it was harder to get into a party and harder to level. But since I couldn't mod this game and have no need for social interactions in a game I quit playing after the beta finished. I just didn't find the game that intresting.

I play a Monk. Mo/R lvl20. They're pretty cool. I'm heavy on the heal, and I'm so far the only primary monk in our guild. It sounds cool the role of savior, but with so many W/Ms around with no idea of the amount of things I actually do... and they then think they can take on anything with their cool builds

It makes me mad sometimes. But on those occasions I can always simply stop healing

I just play the game without worrying about anything just leveling. I'm happier that way and well if I was in a Guild that cares only about being number one then lets be in one huge guild instead.

The upside of our guild is we're all connected in real life. The leader is my friend and housmate here, and all the members are friends of ours, siblings...etc. then they ask their friends to join and we get to know them too. It works quite well that way. We're small and not in it to be number one. We just have fun and help each other out with the game.

W/M make for nasty combos, but they tend to heal only themselves and will fall to mob attacks and ability score attacks if left un-supported. Yeah, I had to play "Res the Party" 7 times, and sometimes I had to res individuals who got to far ahead, with mosters on my arse (and they never caught me the slow biatchs.) The storm/windriders in the Widerness were probably the most annoying. The most effective tatic was to get an ranger to aggro one monster at a time and lure back to the awaiting party for an ambush. If you had multiple riders and trolls on you, your party was going to be hurting real bad or dead. This tatic could take awhile, exspecially if the party was being beligerent saying we didn't need a plan, just go and kill things while I healed them, in which case things usually turned into another episode of "Res the Party." If they did listen after awhile or right away the tatic would take awhile but it was better than the 20 to 30 minute ordeal that was "Res the Party."

Sweet, Rogue thanks for joining my Guild even though you haven't been accepted yet  8) Well then gonna try to save up for a Guild hall so all the money i'm gonna loot is gonna go to the Warriors Hall. To bad you can't have your own room in there that you can customize. Maybe i'm wrong but from what I saw it looks like a place you can call home  :P have healers and such there. A nice battle with other guilds or amongs yourself  :P

Anywho if anybody else got guild wars give me a shout and have a game online  8)

OK OK so Ghostly and Rogue convinced me to get Guild Wars.  I'll post my character later and maybe some screens.

My character is Portha Traxxon and is a Ranger, with my second class as Warrior.  Currently lvl 3, although I'm about to level up again.

Hope I didn't tick you off with all my guild war talk since all I want is to get that Guild hall and a very active guild  ;D Also cant wait to get a guild hall with storage and a personal bank account with a merchant  :P

Well I also want to complete quests with the people I know  :P

Good luck with getting a guild hall.  Any idea what type of hall you'd be going for?

Also the guild hall doesn't have storage or merchants.  I think they were planning to add it for factions, but at present it's just a place where your guild can all chill out.  (also to have relay races and rock, paper, scissors competitions in, if our guild is anything to go by.)  They mentioned something about adding npcs there for Factions, but at the moment it's just guildies and no npcs.

But yeah, I'm still 'Griphyne Of Nor' on guild wars, and I'm still on every couple of days.  If you need an experienced monk to help with a mission or two you're stuck with I'd be glad to lend a hand.  On GMT though, so might be an idea to keep that in mind.

Oh...  and I also have been doing a GW sprite comic which you can find at http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1019333#post1019333.  Might be worth a look if anyone's interested.

My Character below

Well I now got 15,200 gold and a Warriors Guild Hall costs about 19,000. If my guild helps me out I can finally shut up  and wait for Guild Wars Factions ;D The Guild Hall is HUGE. Now I got to keep on looting and I reached level 15 (halfway to 16).

Bumping up this topic for the Nightfall expansion coming out this week.  I should be able to get it within a couple of weeks.  Anyone else planning on getting it within the first 2 or 3 weeks of release?

Anyway it's all Ghostly and Commando's faults I got involved with GW, but I'll forgive them.  ;D

We know GW gamers want the numbers, so here they are: 18 new multi-level dungeons, 40 new armour sets, 10 new Heroes and massive 150 new skills, out of which 50 belong only to PvE (Player versus Enviroment).

Much better. I'm getting tired of the few armor sets that look alike and when I wear it theres obviously someone else wearing it every time I go to an outpost. I want a unique armor set for me only nobody else.

edit: rereading the article the guy announces two games at once  :o

1) Game after the original Guild Wars time frame

2) Then an Expansion pack right after both time frames, 100 years after

3) Upgraded engine

4) Playable races include Humans, Charr, Norns, Asurians and Sylvarians.
