Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Movie)

Ah, too true Eagle. I think EVERYONE wants him dead. I even swear I saw the animated Padme dancing and singing when she heard he was killed only to cry when he emerged once more to ruin a perfectly good ... almost perfectly good ... kinda good show.

At least they redeemed themselves this week with an episode involving the Seperatists rescuing Gunray. I still hate how they're trying for the teen audience so obviously with that annoying little red jedi. She's a kid, a padawan and still able to stand toe to toe with any bad guy :?

Guess it's better than nothing?

Sorry I haven't been watching this month.

Dooku Captured? Really? I'm watching Filoni's commentary and believe he's just wrong.

We've seen Dooku show incredible skill. I don't know why he would ever be defeated by pirates, much less have them take his lightsaber behind his back.

Better, Dooku could have just taken the pirate ship from the start, even without his weapons. He's a frakin Sith Lord.

Is anyone else scratching their head on this one like I am?

Oh, yeah, you´re right! Anakin has much too much encounters with Dooku IMO, isn't it. In the movies it looks rather like that he had his first encounter in "AotC" and than just the second one in "RotS". You never had the feeling that they maybe met more than once before. But well, lets better look at it as if it plays in a parallel story and dont worry about if it fits with the real movies. Because all in all its justa cartoon series.

Trespass was another standalone, filler episode. I didn't get why the droids were there nor Cho's motivation to attack.

If he's just a bigot, well... doesn't seem to be fighting for much on a uninhabitable planet. You'd think there would be more deeper stories of the Clone Wars than a "make war, make peace". Obi-Wan and Anakin weren't needed.

Really the only interesting bits were the snowtroopers on speeders :)

Haven´t seen that episode yet. But Snowtroopers on Speederbikes surely does sound interesting. :)

I like the "Defenders of Peace" episode. All that tribal music reminded me of Fallout 2. :)

The Hidden Enemy

- A better episode, pretty much the intro into the battle that follows in the Clone Wars movie

However, I'm just not sure I believe that a trooper would be a turncoat, much less actively harm his fellow brothers by working with the Separatists.

Not that I believe troopers don't have individual qualities by any means. I could see the Nulls, Arcs, those with more of Jango's genes to try and subvert the system. But again, actively harming his brothers?

Blue Shadow Virus

Another standalone to give Jar-Jar... whoops, Padme... more screen time. Jar Jar is not a main character in Episode 2 or 3. Why should he be one in the Clone Wars show? :)

Mystery of a Thousand Moons

Okay.. so the last one was just an intro to this one. Iego is supposed to be a spacer's tale, yet the Jedi know exactly where it is. Mmm

And "Angels" are real. Go figure

Storm over Ryloth - a more typical Clone Wars story... Anakin and Asoka find a way to break a Separatist blockade. That's what I want to see, more Jedi vs Separatist battles, not Padme drama :)

Had the traitor one this weekend, wasn't too bad. But never seemed to get anywhere until the end, and then the plot sort of just stopped and ended it with talk of a massive battle with the Repulic under gunned for once. I wanted to see what happened so I jumped forward a week to see the next episode ... which has nothing to do with the traitor one :x It was that stupid blue virus, one of the worst episodes yet. Not only was it boring and stupid it was also ... no wait, that's about it. Boring and stupid.

I'm up to episode 4 on this current season. (Not that we didn't know this already but) the Jedi are idiots. Putting all the Jedi children on one holocron? Walking into a deliberate trap and not putting Bane on a leash of clone troopers was dumb. Still cannot getting close to Sidious after capturing Bane and the whole Mustafar incident... seems like the Jedi got exactly what happened to them. :)

This scene was censored by Cartoon Network...

http://theforce.net/latestnews/story/Censored_Clip_From_TCW_ARC_Troopers_133913.asp

I personally don't see why they even made it, but whatever. It doesn't add to the story in any way.

People actually watch this show? It's not as cringe worthy as Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman reading original George Lucas dialog but it's pretty bad. Though to its credit, it sometimes looks a bit more realistic than even EPII or EPIII. I was watching bits of EPI/II/III on Spike HD a while back and noticed how so many more scenes of EPI used partially real elements, my mouth was hung opening remembering what footprints or the pods crashing into sand looked like... mind you compare any of the EPII or EPIII droid battles and see how flat the surface is and nothing is ever disturbed, footprints, tracks, dreary boring mono tone textures.

Wow .. so more Jar Jar, politicians debating relief supplies (who believes the Neimoidians anyway?) and even more Jar Jar doing juggling...

At least it has droids and clones shooting each other... and a dead Jedi

In semi-related and seemingly more interesting news... Carrie Fisher admits to snorting cocaine on the set of The Empire Strikes Back.

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=CNG.656da7e054abfd32af35ccd9e46c1fc5.221&show_article=1

"We did cocaine on the set of 'Empire', in the ice planet," Fisher told Australian newswire AAP, referring to the setting of the second film in the original "Star Wars" trilogy.

"I didn't even like coke that much, it was just a case of getting on whatever train I needed to take to get high," she said while visiting Sydney for her "Wishful Drinking" stand-up comedy show.

Now a writer and comedienne, Fisher's turn as Princess Leia in the 1977-1983 "Star Wars" saga was by far her most famous role.

"The Blues Brothers" co-star John Belushi warned her that she had a problem prior to his own death from a drug overdose in 1982, and Fisher said she ultimately came to realise how dangerous her habits were.

"Slowly I realised I was doing a bit more drugs than other people and losing my choice in the matter," she said. "If I'd been addicted to booze I'd be dead now, because you just go out and get it."

Episode 4 this season ... Pantora? Chuchi?

All the names are terrible and all the voice actors are so bad trying to be "alien"

These blue characters that looks like they're from Avatar... wtf!!!

And somehow a politician's daughter is the best sharpshooter against a cantina full of bounty hunters. ANGER!

I'm finally getting to the edit of the Season 3 with this miniarc. Wow, wtf!

It begins with a fantasy world, even with the floating pieces of ground. Some mythical force users who control a balance between the good and evil. An abstract "architect" character and a evil son turning to the dark side, and a magic sword. And Anakin "the chosen one" attempts to fall.. go figure.

I'm guessing at the end of this, it's all just a dream sequence. Because it's about as abstract a story as you can get. Star Wars turned 100% magic-DnD fantasy.

Them series of three episodes which feature that story line evanders was so badly put together. Watching the series is so frustrating at times as the stories really sometimes make no sense. Not to spoil anything as if this is where you watched upto but there is a jedi master that dies in an upcoming episode who I thought originally survived operation knightfall. It just disregards stuff all the time imo.
