piojitoewok Posted April 9, 2003 Posted April 9, 2003 in the DSETUP.DLL file Check underString Table -> 63 1033 is says in the second line "LANGUAGE LANG_ENGLISH" All the others in the same place it says a different language, i think these are the different language codes. i just stumbled across this while trying to find a way to up the bitrate on the images, 8bit textures wouldnt look too nice, they dont look it now If i had a nickel for everytime i listened to you, I'd be in debt.

piojitoewok Posted April 9, 2003 Author Posted April 9, 2003 yeah, this has nothing to do with raising it to 16 bit, im having no luck finding that, but figured that this might solve all that stuff with the languages, that lists the number for all the languages And yes, i hope to get it to 16 bit textures If i had a nickel for everytime i listened to you, I'd be in debt.
TK421 Posted April 9, 2003 Posted April 9, 2003 Isn't that simply the language of the Installation Readme Files and such? Z'anthr saves the world. Sorry about the mess...
Trejiuvanat Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 Mask suggested that 1033 was for english as teh language of the game. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
piojitoewok Posted April 10, 2003 Author Posted April 10, 2003 yes and this sorta proves it, i wanna get a hold of a different version of the game, if they show up as the number listed there then those are the different language codes: 1028 - Chinese1029 - Czech1031 - German1033 - English1036 - French1040 - Italian1041 - Japanese1042 - Korean1043 - Dutch1045 - Polish1046 - Portugese1049 - Russian1053 - Swedish--------2052 - Chinese2058 - Spanish3082 - Spanish i think the bottom three are just for different versions of the same language. If i had a nickel for everytime i listened to you, I'd be in debt.
vakundok Posted April 10, 2003 Posted April 10, 2003 In my theory, for the tactical battles, Rebellion uses 256 color bitmap format with the palette of the actual planet. Besides, the textures will look awfull because the engine uses even less colors and makes awfull conversations (caused by light) (eg: yellow on the top but changed to green on the sides) .
TK421 Posted April 15, 2003 Posted April 15, 2003 1043 - DutchLook there is hope for the Universe. I suggest that we bring out our TC stricly in dutch! Z'anthr saves the world. Sorry about the mess...

Die is niet beurs voor niete Nederlandze mensen. Did I get that right? That depends on what you were trying to say... I'll give you the key: die = that/it/thoseis = isniet = notbeurs = overripe/pouch/wallet/stock exchangevoor = forniet = not (niete doesn't exist)Nederlandse = Dutch (Nederlandze doesn't exist)mensen = people. = . Well, does this makes sense with what yoy were trying to say?
wormie Posted April 15, 2003 Posted April 15, 2003 It was supposed to be "that is not fair for non-Dutch people" guess I was wrong Lost a planet Master Obi-Wan has, how embarrassing. - Yoda Do not count a human dead until you've seen his body, and even then you can make a mistake. - Bene Gesserit saying
Guest Scathane Posted April 15, 2003 Posted April 15, 2003 It was supposed to be "that is not fair for non-Dutch people" guess I was wrong I understand now... fair in the sense of a fair can be translated to beurs. What you should have said is: Dat is niet eerlijk voor niet-Nederlanders.My answer would've been: Nou en?
Jahled Posted April 15, 2003 Posted April 15, 2003 ...Jahled observes this display of gibberish...and reaches for another banana....whilst chewing on a peanut... Suddenly he farts. The forest leaves rustle. Nearby, a bush sheds it's load of berries. ...Jahled burbs loudly as he casually discards the banana skin. Nearby, it rudely lands ontop of a startled parrot; which squarks loudly in alarm... ...Jahled mutters something incomprehensible....and scratches his armpit... http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
Guest Scathane Posted April 15, 2003 Posted April 15, 2003 With regard to your posts of late, Jahled... Are you allright?
