Guest Scathane Posted April 8, 2003 Share Posted April 8, 2003 We've talked about post-Episode III before: what will happen when GL has finished that movie, will he continue making Star Wars movies?Unfortunately, GL has said that he won't be making episodes VII, VIII and IX (http://starwars.com/site/faq.html). Nevertheless, I think that Star Wars is too commercially interesting to stop shooting films about it (episodes I & II may not have hit the box offices as movie most visited, they still were very successful). The question is: what wil he do, then? I am of the opinion that the polls on http://starwars.com are a marketing tool for Lucas Online. And I do think that they:1. Take the result into account2. Sometimes shed light on LECs future plans and ambitionsIf that actually is the case: then what would you guys make of these polls about... You guys are that stuck in what you've read in novels?! Moreover, GL has stated that there will be no Star Wars films set in the time after ROTJ. And I doubt any fan would like a Han Solo other than Harrison FordI wouldn't count on that too much. Second, i chose George Clooney from the list in the poll, not as my first personal choice. If it's about personal choices, I'd forget the entire Han Solo thing and just make episodes VII to IX, no matter how much the Eu has changed. You could take the novels as basis, and when think of it:1. Sigourney "Ripley" Weaver as a Dark jedi2.
