kaja Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Said bodily functions becoming less and less important the further one gets into the game, I imagine. Baaaaad Image. You know, the funny thing is, that I have a Wii, but I never play it, PS3 is way better, IMO. Even more funny, is that I've had 'The Twilight Princes' for it, but I haven't even opened up the 'Factory Seal'. Full Auto 2, Jak 3, and The Matrix: Path of Neo, is all that I've been playing recently. I'm working on a ton of Jak 3 models, Characters, Weapons, Vehicles, etc, so I've been busy. I'm making them for personal education in the 3d art field. edit: Oh, yeah, and a wee bit of Oblivion, good, gooooood Game, I had it for the 360 and for the PC, with Knight's of the Nine, and Shivering Isles Expansion pack. The mods can make it a lot funner. Crackdown is a good game for the 360, Resistance is also, for the PS3. My brother is obsessed with Gears of War, also for the 360. A little gory for me though, with the whole 'Chainsaw Bayonet' and 'Frag-tag Exloding', but the Storyline is pretty good, the sound track is on par with the Halo series, and the gameplay is solid. Plus the Characters, if not Sweaty, Greasy, Crusty, and full of Steriods(I.E. Cole), they're pretty cool. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s152/Dave-Mastor/Cluster6.jpg
Mad78 Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Okay so now I have played Red Faction II for a bit i can tell you what i thought. It doesn't revolutionise gaming and doesn't add much that the fist one hasn't yet done but its a fun shooter and is ideal for a FPS fan on a budget and looking for fix. Today I picked up Dark Messiah of Might and Magic at the store for 10 bucks. It looks like it has alot of potential. I will post what i think of it once it has finally finished installing. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Darth_Rob Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 So I stopped by my EBgames store yesterday on my lunch break and snagged used copies of Rouge Squadron II: Rouge Leader and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. I love that the Wii allows me to purchase cheap Gamecube games! Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side! Mad78 Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 Enjoy Rob! They are both Brilliant games!!! I have played a few new games recently. Firstly Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. A fan game with some rather cool ideas in it. But the story isn't something very special. There are also some gameplay flaws (you pretty much use the kick move all the time, a little variation would have been nice) . Other than that it must be said that the graphics are beautiful and the Multiplayer well thought. Definetly worth a try if you like Fantasy games. Secondly i have been play God of War 2 alot recently... IT IS BRILLIANT!!! Basically its like the first one but better. New moves, new enemies, new powers and new brutal kills A must-have for all PS2 owners. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
DarthTofu Posted July 14, 2007 Author Posted July 14, 2007 So I stopped by my EBgames store yesterday on my lunch break and snagged used copies of Rouge Squadron II: Rouge Leader and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. I love that the Wii allows me to purchase cheap Gamecube games! *Maniacal laughter* For Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast remember to use the saberrealisticcombat cheat. It's fantastic! You get to do stuff like this That alone kept me entertained long after I'd beaten the game. 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Darth_Rob Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 The funny thing is that I had the game for the PC since it came out, but I never played it. Something was wrong where the game would freeze up at some point in the second or third level, and I never bothered getting it exchanged. Plus I wasn't crazy about the controls, since Im not a big fan of PC gaming, and prefer consoles... Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side! kaja Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Jedi Knight 2 and 3 are great games, my brother and I would often Play a LAN game and add like 60 Skywalker bots to attack us, they'd usually pile up It's pretty fun when you turn decapatation up. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s152/Dave-Mastor/Cluster6.jpg
Mad78 Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 I personally found Jedi KNight 3 to be rather uninspired but maybe that just me. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Defender_16 Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 It wasn't just you Mad. Man, in Academy I couldn't even make it past the first level until I decided to go with Jedi heal first.
kaja Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 I beat it, but I was dissapointed with their lack of new weapons. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s152/Dave-Mastor/Cluster6.jpg
DarthTofu Posted July 15, 2007 Author Posted July 15, 2007 I started playing Rome: Total War, finally. I'd been putting it off because I figured it couldn't be that good. I now regret having spent all of that time playing The Battle for Middle Earth II: Rise of the Witch King. Bloody amazing game, a lot like Rebellion, more so than the War of the Ring game was! I very much like it, and highly recommend the game! I'm sure SOCL will now sweep in and give us all sorts of commentary on the game as well as the Rome: Total Realism mod, now. If not, I still win even if I am a failed prophet, because I prevented SOCL from giving his full schbeil. 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
SOCL Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 I like Rome: Total War a lot! Didn't expect that, did you? And Rome: Total Realism makes the game much more fun! SOCL: Putting the BE in BEAK.Read the Forum Rules - Welcome the New Members - Rebellion Reloaded -
Mad78 Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 I have picked up Painkiller today. i heard alot of good about the game and my expectations are high. I'll tell you what i thought of it once I have had a chance of playing it. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
kaja Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Geez, it's like every day one of you gets a new game My Mom wont let me buy the Halo 3 Legendary copy because 'I'm spending too much' Yeah right.... I spent some money on a new sound system for my computer, and a few legos, and she thinks I'm spending too much. Does she know how much money I have in my bank acount?! I guess every thing is back to normal now I need to get a copy of Halo 3 Legendary before it goes up in price again... or worse... they run out She asked If I'd even remember the game in ten years... considering how much fun the beta was... yes. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s152/Dave-Mastor/Cluster6.jpg
DarthTofu Posted July 16, 2007 Author Posted July 16, 2007 Haha! I still remember all of the games I played on the old FatMac my family used to own, back about ten years ago when we played on it in Cuba! Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis... Ah, I never stopped playing that game until the computer finally kicked the bucket.... Such a fun game... 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Mad78 Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 I remember hearing of that game but I never played it.I used to play Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine. Sadly the controls were terribly clumsy. This game has got me excited. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Eagle Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Looks like I´ve got to finally play Rome - Total War. A friend showed me a site where you can download emulators for the old amiga-games. I tried to get them work, but I allways failed up till now. It´s a bit complicated. But if it will work someday, it would be really great to play all those classic games. Who cares at all?!
Defender_16 Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 So I go Comman & Conquer 3 yesterday and it's suficiently kick ass. The Mamoth Mk.3 Tank truly appears to be a worth successor to the previous ones, especually after you upgrade it wity Railguns. The new 'Zone troopers' waver back and worth between giving too much over kill and just getting killed to easily. Harvesters remain true to their inebriated origins and will once again waltz right up to an enemy base if the Tiberium field is on the other side. Infantry are grouped in squads which seems to make controling them easier. Unfortunately the basic infantry seem to take damage much more easily than in previous games and arn't quite as versatile. No mowing down a tank with twenty riflemen in this one, you'll need a whole bunch of rockets or a tank to kill the enemy one. Orca Fighters are basically the same though they appear to lack some of the crappyness of the Orca's in Tiberian Sun. It's been compensated for by making them slightly more stupid when it comes to returning to their airfield. Thankfully there's a return all aircraft to airfield button which they immediately follow. Unit repair took me a little while to catch on to. Vehicles within a set radius around the Warfactory will get repaired by flying droids. Infantry must be sent to the armoury for their asquad to be re-equipped. This is a step in the wrong direction for infantry as far as I'm concerned as the Medic was a staple of my infantly forces in previous games. Gameplay seems fairly solid. Overall despite it's quirks I'd still recommend the game.
Mad78 Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 I really must try that game. Okay so i gave Painkiller a try. Basically this game really is a return to the roots of FPSs. You don't have any allies through out the game and the story doesn't play such an important part. Its basically just about shooting everything that moves and basta! Though this may appear like very simple Painkiller does it very well and staking, exploding and making holes in enemies becomes very fun after a moment. All in all this game is a must have if you are a fan of the old shooters such as Quake or the old Doom games. But if you prefer FPSs with a deep storyline and more tactical combat (Half-life, Jedi-Knight, ...) you can give this game a miss. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Darth_Rob Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Im really enjoying Jedi Outcast. I love going into the Jedi Arena section and doing an 11 man free-for-all lightsaber-only battle. Darth_Rob Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Must...make...double post... I picked up Mario Strikers Charged for the Wii last night. It is a load of fun, though a bit more challenging than its Gamecube predecessor. One of the things is that all the main characters have a "megashot" which, when pulled off, allows you to fire up to six balls at the goalie in one shot, thus allowing up to 6 goals in a single shot. Thus, some of the games end with scores in the 20s. And mind you, each match only last 3 minutes. But it was still fun overall. PS- I remember some others out there in SWR land had a Wii too. Speak out again, and we can exchange codes. Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side! My Website http://fp.profiles.us.playstation.com/playstation/psn/pid/BigBadBob113.png
Mad78 Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Its some time i haven't played any new games. One of the last ones i tried was a rather old one called "Sanitarium". Anybody played it? http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
DarthTofu Posted August 11, 2007 Author Posted August 11, 2007 Nope. I've discovered some great old games; Soul Caliber III (I think that's which one it is) is a pretty great fighting game. Granted, I know absolutely nothing about how it is when you face the AI as I've only gone head-to-head with my friend who actually owns the game. He sucks at it, though, so I'm about even with him after only playing it three or four times. I also found Battlefront II to be a ton of fun; a lot more fun than the first one for PC was. I got bored with that before I even beat it; mind-numbingly repetitive fighting, that. Granted, the same can be said of BF II, but it's pretty repetitive fighting, with Hero Characters. 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Darth_Rob Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Yeah, that set the 2nd one apart from the first. I loved playing as Darth Maul. He was ridiculously fast in the game, and tore through enemies in no time. Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side!
