Defender_16 Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 I seem to have a real problem here guys. Every time I load a new parge on teh Rebellion forums, (Not on any other forum) I get this type of Virus warning. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h293/Defender_16/AVGWARNING.jpg Content.IE5\ (A variable folder number here ) \ie7-standard-p[1].js Trojan horse JS/Uniz.B EDIT: *Clicks heal on 2 more windows* Needless to say I am somewhat concerned over this.
Darth_Rob Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 I dunno boss. Never saw that before. Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side! My Website http://fp.profiles.us.playstation.com/playstation/psn/pid/BigBadBob113.png
Defender_16 Posted June 12, 2007 Author Posted June 12, 2007 *Clicks out some more error -Click- boxes* I've done some checking and this is the only site/forum that causes the problem. Is there an old Torjan horse in hidinbg on the site? I looked up this type (Which is a fairly old type of Virus) and it seems that it hides as html documents or web pages. EDIT: http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h293/Defender_16/AVGWARNING3.jpg *Looks close* Source: Backup Copy ...Uh... uh-oh. Does that mean what I think it does?
SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted June 12, 2007 SWR Staff - Executive Posted June 12, 2007 As far as I know, that file should have no malicious action. It is designed to help the site theme in IE7. DarthTofu Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 I have the same issue. I'm glad I checked here, as I was about to make a new topic in "Outside Interests." Same result, same location, but only from the computer that runs Internet Explorer 7. The other computer I use has Firefox and works just fine with the site. I'm not sure why on Earth this is, but it is... 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Defender_16 Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 When did it start for you? It wasn't doing it for me before today. EDIT: I'll have to check the other computer to see if it does the same thing.

Defender_16 Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 My dad says it's gotta be something in the site. That or... what the adds perhaps?
budious Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I usually run FireFox but for the topical consideration of this post I make an exception. Works fine in IE7 on Vista 32bit with AVG Free 7.5 running on my laptop. Going back to FireFox now. Krytos Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 No problems here, albiet I'm running things a little different: XP SP2, IE7, Avast! Virus scanner (also, Windows Defender running). My guess is that bit of Javascript is confusing the virus scanner, acting like a trojan and opening some back door maybe API related. You might check the AVG forums (assuming they have one) for similar problems As I always say, another reason why IE is the tool of the devil. Defender_16 Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 ....it's not happening now. Did anything change? EDIT: Oh shi- The adds are diffrient today! They're mainly star Wars Related ones. They wern't yesterday.
DarthTofu Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I haven't tried wih IE7 again since yesterday (the twelfth) when problems started hitting. I run AVG as well. Strange that this would happen, but the general consensus is that its just a bit of code confusion? 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
