ElvisMiggell Posted April 25, 2003 Posted April 25, 2003 Irrelevant drivel! They say they can make the Quake 3 engine do all kinds of fancy stuff, but I'm not convinced. Surely there are better engines out there? Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Guest Scathane Posted April 25, 2003 Posted April 25, 2003 No it's not, it's the long deviations. Actually it is: ...just make sure you're adding something to discussion rather than posting one-liner comments...
ElvisMiggell Posted April 26, 2003 Posted April 26, 2003 My bad. Sorry. Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Guest Scathane Posted April 26, 2003 Posted April 26, 2003 My bad. Sorry. Now you're doing it again! You're posting one-liners again! (you'll notice how this post is slyly made up out of two sentences..., three if you take this one into account as well... )
ElvisMiggell Posted April 28, 2003 Posted April 28, 2003 Anyway. Back to the topic at hand. I think I've seen all the screen shots now. And given the Quake III engine, it does look p[retty impressive. Though I wonder what specs you're going to need to run it at all decently. Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
the_mask Posted April 28, 2003 Posted April 28, 2003 Probably the same requirements as Quake III, Elite Force, Mohaa, JK II, ... basically it should run on most computers, since that engine is very adaptable. Fighting with double sabers or two sabers is really fun. A week ago an old buddy visited and we fought a few hours with all the possible combinations. (1 saber against 2, double against two sabers, ... against two double sabers, ...). Using the Yoda model distracted him the most, cause he always had to duck to get me That model is a definate killer, especially if you also use force-speed http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
the_mask Posted May 6, 2003 Posted May 6, 2003 Ha, I tied the spawn command to a key and spawned about 40 Reborn to fight at the same time when I was first trying out level building in JK2 The weird thing was, I actually survived most times Meaning? -Well each time I pressed that key a Reborn was 'spawned' at this position, that started going after me. So it was just me and 40 bots .... oh, yeah and the force http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
Guest Scathane Posted May 6, 2003 Posted May 6, 2003 By the way, how many single player enhancements are there... I've found a few models, but I've been unable to find a doublebladed saber thus far...
ElvisMiggell Posted May 15, 2003 Posted May 15, 2003 I don't think there are any, not in terms of dual sabers etc etc. Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Guest Admiral_Antilles Posted June 22, 2003 Posted June 22, 2003 So far the screens i have seen look great.
ADarkJedi44 Posted June 22, 2003 Posted June 22, 2003 The screens certainly look great. Sweat saves blood-Erwin Rommel
ADarkJedi44 Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 I can hardly wait. Sweat saves blood-Erwin Rommel
Guest JediIgor Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 But would someone tell me how a measly Jedi apprentice can wield dual lightsabers, when a Jedi master (read: jedi council) cannot?
ADarkJedi44 Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 Things were diffrent in the old republic. Sweat saves blood-Erwin Rommel
the_mask Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 Old Republic ? I thought this was about JK III, which is happening a bit before the NJO timeframe. I read, that you could construct a dual-saber, or a second, after you advanced to another rank. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
ADarkJedi44 Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 Igor said something about the Jedi council. Sweat saves blood-Erwin Rommel
Guest Admiral_Antilles Posted June 24, 2003 Posted June 24, 2003 I dont think you can at first Igor. I think you have to move up in rank in the game to use them, though I may be wrong.
ElvisMiggell Posted October 6, 2003 Posted October 6, 2003 Yeah, but it's not by very much. Well, now it's out, and you really should have completed it having tried out all the fp's by now, what do you guys think? Highly moddable i'm thinking. Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
the_mask Posted October 7, 2003 Posted October 7, 2003 Yup, maybe I'll publish the Chiss skin I modified. I also tried to bring the Exar Kun saber handle into the game, but something didn't work yet Well, after completing it on both sides, I can only say that I won't use the two sabers again, the double saber is all I need http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
ElvisMiggell Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 Yeah, the kata (sp) for the double bladed saber is rather lethal. Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Lord_La_forge Posted October 11, 2003 Posted October 11, 2003 I've completed it on both sides too. Did Kenobi say that the easy way is only leading to the dark side? Well I think, completing it as a dark jedi is much harder, than joining the light side. If you are choosing the dark side, you must battle everybody! That's not fair The games engine is too old for the job. The characters faces were ugly, and Luke face on the briefing and debriefing screen is simply idio.. well, funny The storyline was interesting, but that Tavion (or whatever is the name) is a very typical stereotype of the 21st century's entertainment "garden". A supermodel, superstrong, supermartialartist, superevil Femme fatale. An evil b*tch Not really scary or realistic at all. What do you think, hmm?
ElvisMiggell Posted October 11, 2003 Posted October 11, 2003 Ah it's not that bad when you look at it as an add-on for JKII which is what it really is. Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Lord_La_forge Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 Well, yes. That's what it is. Not more, not less..
