Verdex Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I don't believe this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/6517155.stm Go and vote for the *really* best sci-fi movie Asteroids do not concern me...
Eagle Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Never ever seen or even heard about that movie. That´s an april fools joke isn´t it? Who cares at all?!
Verdex Posted April 3, 2007 Author Posted April 3, 2007 Damit - I didn't even think about that... I was just sooo upset about those 'results'... Anyway - go and vote Asteroids do not concern me...
Defender_16 Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Hey Serenity was a severely kick ass movie. It's no Star Wars but it was still good.
Eagle Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 No Def, don´t say you´ve voted for Serenity! http://www.smiley-channel.de/grafiken/smiley/erstaunt/smiley-channel.de_erstaunt009.gif Ban him from the forum! Who cares at all?!
SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted April 3, 2007 SWR Staff - Executive Posted April 3, 2007 I found Serenity pretty boring in some parts. The action was decent, but the set up was slow... talking to explain the plot rather than just going ahead and moving things along. Mad78 Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 I must admit to having really liked Serenity but i prefer Star Wars. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
budious Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 There, I voted for best Sci-Fi movie... Blade Runner I wonder where Dune is? "In the future it will become easier for old negatives to become lost and be 'replaced' by new altered negatives. This would be a great loss to our society. Our cultural history must not be allowed to be rewritten." - George Lucas, 1988. [u.S. Mad78 Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 Dune was too complicated for my liking. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Darth_Rob Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 There, I voted for best Sci-Fi movie... Blade Runner Damn you Bud! You stole my idea!!! Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side! My Website http://fp.profiles.us.playstation.com/playstation/psn/pid/BigBadBob113.png
SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted April 5, 2007 SWR Staff - Executive Posted April 5, 2007 Dune has a lot more in the books. I think the original Dune took me several attempts to finish reading. Like Tolkien, Frank Herbert creates his own world.. word-usage and all. It really a struggle sometimes because it reads as a historical/religious text sometimes. But once you get past that, the books (as a whole series) are excellant. There's a lot of complex political, social, and family interactions that make it really interesting. I find the sequals and prequels written by Kevin J. Anderson and Brian Herbert much more narrative and easier to read. Defender_16 Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 I'd vote for Dune if we were voting for Mini-series based content. Easy since Star Wars doesn't really have much in that venue.
Darth_Rob Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 I read a lot of the Dune series back when I was in high school. I also have the two Dune movies on DVD. Then I eventually got into Stephen King and was hooked ever since. Ive read all of this old works (and own most), just nothing too new (aside from the Dark Tower 7...and what an ending!!!). I would love to see a real good Sci-Fi movie of The Stand. I have the one that I think was made for TV or direct-to-own, and it wasn't too good. The Sci-Fi channel could probably make a good miniseries out of it. Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side!
