Verdex Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Maybe you guys can help me: I need a quote from Harrsion Ford talking to George Lucas after having read the New Hope script. I remember vaquely that he is said to have told Lucas: "George, no-one talks like that." - and altered some of his lines I am looking for that story and maybe a link to it. Anyone? Asteroids do not concern me...
Jahled Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Ford also found the dialogue difficult, saying "You can type this shit, George, but you sure can't say it." HarrisonFordWeb.com From A New Hope on Wikipedia http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
Verdex Posted February 26, 2007 Author Posted February 26, 2007 So it's once again time for my all time favorite quote from Montgomery C. Burns: "Excellent!" Thanks a lot! Asteroids do not concern me...
PHSYCOBOB Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 So it's once again time for my all time favorite quote from Montgomery C. Burns: "Excellent!" Thanks a lot! It's C. Montgemery Burns. *freaks out* -ok, I don't really care that much, I stopped watching Simpsons regularly a few years ago. =o)

budious Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 I have heard the qoute your are talking about on the History Channel's special on Star Wars which walks through the early years of George Lucas and his film school projects, the subsequent development of THX 1138, then "American Graffiti", and followed up by "Star Wars" in which Harrison Ford was not originally intended for the role of Han Solo but was brought in as an audition director helping other auditioners read the lines in the manner that Lucas was wanting. There were also black and white clips of actress Sally Field (Smokey and Bandit) auditioning as Leia, and clips of Kurt Russel (O'Neil in Stargate movie) auditioning as Han Solo. "In the future it will become easier for old negatives to become lost and be 'replaced' by new altered negatives. This would be a great loss to our society. Our cultural history must not be allowed to be rewritten." - George Lucas, 1988. [u.S. It was called "Empire of Dreams". Gotta watch it again, it was very interesting. Who cares at all?!
Lord_La_forge Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Kurt Russel as Han? That would be interesting (definetly a good choice I think)
Eagle Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Yes, and there´s another scene with Perry King (Riptide) as Han. Who cares at all?!
SOCL Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Empire of Dreams is the fourth, extra DVD in the Star Wars DVD box-set that was released three years ago. SOCL: Putting the BE in BEAK.Read the Forum Rules - Welcome the New Members - Rebellion Reloaded -
