Does anyone else remember all those really cool themes that came with Windows 98 back in the day? There was a Leonardo Da Vinci one, a transportation one, a space one, a Halloween one... I think it was called 'Windows Plus!' and there exists a descendant of it in the XP version... Even so, I don't find it nearly as fun as the old version. Does anyone happens to have any idea what I'm talking about? If so, does anyone know if it's possible to download (for free or otherwise) the old version?

Yes, but this is the XP version. They're not updates so much as they are new redesigns. I'm very specifically looking for the old-school versions in all their late-1990s glory.

Hm, I´m still using Win98 on the other partition of one of my harddrives. I could put them into a folder and send it to you. I don´t know, but maybe it could be possible to add the theme to your desktop if you copy all files correctly. Because there are also sounds, pics and cursors. Pm me if you want to try it and give me your email-adress. Than I will send it to you.
Who cares at all?!

I have the XP Plus themes on disc somewhere if you want... but I think M$ wants you to pay another $10 for them

I remember using some of them on my Win95b machine :D I used that until just a couple of years ago when I finally switched over to 2000. I wonder if those would work for 98? :?

Oh, and Tex, 2000 was seven years ago. Time to upgrade to at least XP.

Never! Never! Well, not until at least Vista is in full bloom and XP is on the road to obsolescence :lol:

I remember those themes. I liked the jungle theme. jungle picture, sounds, frogs.

If I could find these themes without having to pay for them I'd be one happy guy!
