Katanna Fleet (Dark Force)

Question

Posted

Has anyone other than myself actually ever attempted to build the ~200 Dreadnaught Katanna fleet? I have actually done it before and it is GREAT! Imagine 200 Dreadnaughts suddenly appearing in orbit over your system and take out your fleet within seconds, then bomb the hell out of your planet! foaming at mouth . . .

It's great to be an Imperial. :D

Thats upon Wormie to answer

ok Scath lower my fleet about 200 TBs Thats not relevant I want to say that a 200 DN fleet is very inefficient and will be crushed by 200 TIE Bs

if there are no y-wings and 500 If there are some wings because the DN's

are very unable to take out Fighters

And If Katanna is Imperial hmmm some B-wings will crush them

I think that the Katana fleet is an Imp fleet, but since the Rebels can also build Dreadnaughts, I make it a Rebel Fleet. And no, I don't use nor have Rebed, so everything is done according to the game defaults.

Technically the Katana fleet is Old Republic and, accordingly, should belong to the Empire. Of course, thos damned Rebels are always stealing our ships, so. . . . Thrawn had the majority of the fleet under his command, so really, it truly is Imperial, if that's what you guys were referring to.

I think this discussion has pretty much come to the conclusion that building the Katana fleet is quite costly and impractical, much less raising a fleet to counter it. Correct?

Hey, it's not our fault that all of those Imp officers defected to our side, our that they surrendered when faced with the might of our fleet.

:x All the Imperial fleet needed back then was some solidarity and had the grand admirals united, down the Rebels would have gone . . . but no, the rule is: Good guys have to win, even against impossible odds. :x

It's just like an Imperial to remain devoutly loyal to the Empire, but at the same time, try to distance himself from the New Order.

Why would we conclude that Katanna Fleet is inefficient? It was commanded by Thrawn wasn't it? Isn't he the brilliant strategist?

Well, it's only efficient if commanded by a genius such as Thrawn, but had not been for Thrawn taking it and had it been left in the hands of the Old Republic and not disappeared, then it would have been quite inefficient.

Do not forget C3PO to translate all the confusing and fuddling nonsense

they give to the best (I hope its to understand the same irony like in german  )

sorry but I dont know how to explain that
Well, from what I gather you meant either one of the following four possibilities:

    1. You say something unimportant and are very proud of it, although in reality it isn't unimportant
    2. You say something unimportant and act as if you are very proud of it, although in reality you aren't proud of it
    3. You think you're saying something important and are very proud of it, although in reality it isn't important
    4. You say something important and act as if you are very proud of it, although in reality you aren't proud of it

If this doesn't clarify things, try to explain it to me in German...

ok the first one is the nearest if u mean it isnt important and wrote it wrong (u wrote the last unimportant and it must be important) :?

1. You say something unimportant and are very proud of it, although in reality it isn't important

my explaination:

U say something unimportant , u are very proud of it because u think it was important but it isnt

No, the way I wrote my number 1 is exactly the way I meant it...

my explaination:

U say something unimportant , u are very proud of it because u think it was important but it isnt

So, the correct answer is number 3, dude21! 8)

Well, were I learned German I only had this explanation for "etwas zum Besten geben" : someone is entertaining his audience with a story. This would apply to a storyteller as well as to a comedian. Basically it's just someone standing before a crowd, telling them somehing. 8)

So, while this could also work with stories that are just made up for example, it doesn't mean that the story isn't true. Pride has nothing to do with it in my opinion.

Ahhhh! You see, we know that in Dutch as well: "iets ten beste geven". This indeed means to recite.
