Man, that really sucks I've heard lots of bad stories and such. Luckily I only hit ebay once every blue moon or so. Ebay should make sellers put up a bond or cash deposit in order to sell things. At least that way if they try to rip you off, you can get some if not all of your money back. Good luck on your Wii Rob

Dude!!... im sorry man.. this blows! I've also heard of people on ebay selling you something and then sending you the PICTURE of said item... and then when you are all pissed.. they reference you to a line in the auction hidden in plain site.. that says something to the effect of "auction is for picture of item not item itself".. or something like that.. (saw a judge judy about that too... wasnt from here was it?)

So I called the money order company today, and since the guy cashed the money order last Wednesday, there is nothing they can do. Once its cashed it is out of their hands.

 

Ebay directed me to the website for the US governments internet crimes investigation thingy. So I filed my case with them, and apparently they contact the police in my area and in his area and get this stuff together. Luckily I was smart, so I still have all my paper documentations of the money order stub, the receipt from where I bought it, and the receipt from the Post Office for where I overnighted the money order to this jackass. So hopefully everything will work out and I'll get my money, though I feel it will be quite some time if I do get my money back. I wouldnt be so concerned if it was a few bucks, but its $350, 300 of which is my girlfriends. If I see this guy I will stab him with my keys and gouge out his eyes.

My girlfriend spent about 3 months looking in every retailer, as have I. If you ask the clerk for one, they actually laugh and snort at you. That is why you have to spend about $100 extra on ebay. But my girlfriend knew how much I wanted one, and gave me $300 towards one on ebay, so that I didn't have to wait.

 

As for right now, Ive come to the conclusion that I was not meant to own one. Ive spent too many wasted trips to retail stores, too much time on retailers websites, and now too much money on some dingbat arseface who reeks of fermenting moose genetalia who makes a living leeching off others.

 

And to make matters worse, I think my girlfriend feels worse than I do. Im pissed because the guy stole from me, and also the fact that I have no Wii. But the money comes first. I dont give a damn about the stupid game right now. But my girlfriend is feeling like she got me nothing for my birthday, and it was directly her money that was stolen. I said "well, you gave me $300 and I spent it" but she wouldnt buy that. So we're both upset. And my friend is ready to start prank calling and harrassing the guy, but I dont have his phone number, much less his email address (we communicated directly through ebay messages).

 

Needless to say this is not helping my already stressed-out existence with the last 2 weeks of class, and the papers are all coming due...and then the cram sessions for the finals!!!!! Alrite, I think I did enough venting for one night.

So I called the police in my school town yesterday and explained the situation. They said I should call the police department in Calidornia. So I call them, and they say that in order to help me, I have to file a report with the local department, who will then send it to them. So today after class I will be going down to the police station to file a report. So hopefully I will eventually get my cash back.

Went to the city police after class. After telling them what happened, they had me sit down and wait for another officer. When he came out he took my information, and when I told him my address he said "Oh Im sorry we cant help you. You dont live in Oneonta." So Im like "Yeah I do." And he said "No you dont. You live in the town, but not the city. You'll have to go to the state police."

So I had to drive to the other side of town to go to the state police station. I told the guy, and he said "Well all of our investigators are out on patrol. I'll call one to report back." And he did. So I waited about 1/2 hour, then he came out again and said "Well, we're having a domestic dispute which is a reoccuring affair. I'll have him come by your place later today."

Update:

 

I walked into the EB games in my gfs mall, and the display boxes for the Wii said "coming soon", so I assumed they had none. Then some random guy goes up to the clerk and says "do you have any Wiis?" I laughed to myself, ridiculing the stupidity of this man's question. But to my utter shock, the clerk said "hold on and I'll grab you one from the back." So I stopped him and said "if you have another one, Im sold." And sure enough, me and the random man got the last two Wiis. They had received four in as their shipment. So Rob has finally gotten his Wii. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What games did you get?

Well, it comes with the Sports pack (baseball, tennis, boxing, bowling, and golf), and my girlfriends parents had bought me another disc that has 7 games (I know there's billards, ping pong, and some army tank game, not sure about the others yet- haven't played). I plan on snagging Zelda once I scrape up an extra $50. I'll be getting my income tax refund soon, and then I'll be off to snag some more games.

I played the sports pack when my girlfriend's brother got his Wii... it is quite entertaining.. especially when playing with others.. Tennis is great.. however.. you've probably already found out.. you need the nuncuck to play boxing...

Ya I had bought the extra nunchuck like the day after I won the ebay auction. Then of course I had no wii to play it with. The boxing game is ridiculous and does a number on your arms. Great strength training.

While it does look extremely entertaining, I have heard bad reviews about it being a very short and simple game, and not worth the full price. Perhaps I shall wait until it goes down in a few months.

I've played the Wario minigames, which is just weird, as well as some othe sport pack games - tennis (I sucked) and bowling. First, and only, game of bowling, I got a 220 something - didn't miss a pin, all strikes and spares. Apparently it was beginners luck
