Well, there is a cheerleader. She has the power to regenerate and heal herself. I still prefer the power of time, though. To put it back on track, if you were fighting a bad guy, you would just stop time, walk behind him, unfreeze time and then hit him with a lead pipe while he's still swinging in front of him where you were a nanosecond ago.

To get around the time-dimensia(whatever) problem Tofu mentioned you could just have the power to greatly slow down time relative to everything but yourself.. That way you maintain a super-speed, strength, and thinking appearance in the minds of others, with the benefits of elongated time.

Eh, I'm not seriously going to get into an argument with someone about something that is impossible (IE moving at the speed of light)

I would still love that power were it possible... Though regenerative abilities would be pretty sweet. Kind of like Captain Jack on Torchwood- any Torchwood fans, here?

There's a marathon on Jaurary 1 on NBC, where they will air all the episodes in a row. The next new episode comes out January 22. I can't wait that long!!!

  • 1 month later...

A wierd kid in my English class was talking to me about Heroes today... Something about the cheerleader having a metal spike in her somewhere and how she couldn't come back to life with it in there...

I flipped through and saw it once. Some guy made some girls shoot herself, and two Japanese guys were talking about how the fate of the world rested on the survival of a cheerleader...

Yeah the cheerleader is sort of like the X-Mens Wolverene, where she can regenerate herself. The one time she got pushed onto a metal fence post which impaled her, and she "died". When the body was put on the autopsy (sp) table, and the doctor removed the spike, her regeneration kicked in shortly after. Though by this time the autopsy was done, and her body was lying cut half-way down and her organs removed, but all that regenerated itself. Its a pretty sweet show.

heroes rocks for sure!

I don't think Torchwood has started in the states and Canada yet.

I wouldn't mind having the regenerative power for obvious reasons. Maybe the flying power so I could see my family (who live in London England.)

Stopping time might be useful but too tempting to use for the wrong reasons for me!

having the ability to pass through solid matter might be cool too.

having a timid side and a psycho side wouldn't be my kind of thing.

next week the former Doctor Christopher Eccleston makes his debut as a 'hero' with powers 'never seen before' and is 'dangerous'.

I like hiro's friend! he might not have any powers but the interaction between hiro and him is funny!

Well, 6 days until Hero.

And I'm thinking that I might be let down. Once of those things where a friend gets hyper excited

"Oh, it's a fantastic show! Brilliant, a master peice and other hyperbole adjectives!"

So, I wait - I watch, and I get disappointed. :P

...

Well, the point of this post is 6 days until I'll actually see the show

Yeah .... time to leave the room now, bye guys :)

Chris Eccleston? The former Doctor Chris Eccleston? Or am I thinking of someone else? I may have to actually watch the show, now...

By the former doctor Chris Ecclestone, I meant the former 'Doctor Who' Chris Ecclestone.

From what I've read 'Torchwood' is an offshoot series of 'Doctor Who'. It is about a team of 5 who use alien technology to solve crimes and mysteries. The team is lead by Captain Jack Sparrow (from 'season 1 of Doctor who') Torchwood is also an anagram of doctor who.

*Falls over laughing* Jack Harkness, Turtle! Jack Sparrow would be Pirates of the Carribean :lol::wink:

*Points at top of quote* They are one and the same. Must say, I truly enjoyed "Rose," "The Empty Child" (Parts I and II), and "Father's Day" when he did them. The rest weren't bad either... Can't say I didn't like "The Last Dalik" as well...

Well, I saw the first episode of Heros.

Well, yeah it seems that my last post summed it up. Over hyper expectations leading to an episode where nothing really happened.

Of course, that's not as bad as having something bad happen.

I'll give it a shot, see where it goes - might be cool, so many people here think so :roll:
