I used to treat myself all the time. Then I went back to school, started living on my own, and only worked part time, so the personal goodies had to stop. But I did buy some rather nice stuff back in the day.

And I have to agree with JH. What is that? A mixer or something?

I was thinking some kind of digital turntable (if thats what they are still called).. for DJ'ing some music..

By the looks of it I'd say that's deffinately sound manipulation equipment. A quick glance through the internet shows that "demcom," the company listed on the piece of equipment manufactures CD players and the like.

Thus I will assume this is a means to modify digital music whilst it is being played, IE a "New Age" bit of disk jockey equipment.

Though this still begs the question: What on Earth is that junk? :P

It is a Denon (mind your spelling Tofu) DN-S5000 cd turntable. Imitates the exact feel of a normal Turntable but with CDs and it has many niffty effects. :D Yes i do do a little DJing from time to time! I am quite happy about the purchase since it only cost me 670$ instead of 1000$.

Very cool Mad, though I must admit I'd be waiting for a nice holo image of the Death Star II to pop from it and Ackbar to start giving me a briefing.

History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.

Treated myself to a new system recently... check the sig for details :P

Any other time it's a 6-pack of Sam Adams or a 4-pack of Sugarfree Redbull... both set me back about $6 :x

The last thing I treated myself to was a pair of $100 headphones for guitar players. No I don't play guitar but the sound quality from Half-life 2, and Battlefront 2, etc. is exceptional. A new level of immersion I'd say, sometimes while playing I'll hear a voice in my head saying "Make Sean(me) get up and get Blaine(BF profile) some water."...

So does this mean you can do some scratching without actually scratching the CD?.. hehehehe... anyways... when you gonna let us lay our ears on one of your new compositions eh?

Ackbar: You can see here the Death Star rapidly being turned back and forth to some unknown beat. 8)
