I have cinfidence in Nintendo because i tend to find that they concentrate more on making a fun console than one with the latest graphics (take Super Smash Bros. I went shopping all last weekend (yes, the scary Black Friday weekend) and saw several in several different stores. And the markup for them on ebay isn't too bad.  Rob will be Wii-tastic by his birthday in April. Grand_Admiral_Thrawn Posted December 1, 2006 Share Posted December 1, 2006 I think I can now officially put my two cents in on this situation. I now own all three of the aforementioned consoles. The Wii is fun, but don't go looking for excellent, or even good, graphics. It's banking heavily on it's control system to lure people in. I'm not 100% sure this will work, but we'll see. The PS3, at the moment, is equal to the XBox 360. Both have comparable graphics, load times, controls etc. The down side to the PS3 is that it currently doesn't have the number of titles available that the 360 does. It also lacks a rumble feature, which isn't really a big deal, and will be less so once developers start using the tilt controls.  The one thing I am quite happy about with my PS3 is that I don't have to pay to play games online (It gets a little tiring paying $39.99 every two months for XBox LIVE), and I can also brows the internet on my TV. I know, get a laptop, but sometimes it's the little things that count. So really, if you add it all up, I'll end up having paid more for my 360 than I have for the PS3 (In about two months). I will warn folks not to trust what you can read online right now. Most of the comparisons of the 360 to the PS3 are being unfair to to Sony simply because they're the new biggie. You simply can't compare what three cores can do versus seven (I won't even get into the other specs).  So basically, I'm quite happy with all three, they each give something new to consoles and I look forward to seeing what developers can do with each now that there is some competition. History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all. And the Wii is so cheap. But dont get me wrong, I am not relying on the Wii. Im sticking to my PS2 also. I have it nicely modded so it will be good for the next 2 years. But I was upset about the non-vibrating controler when I read about it in a magazine. I love "feeling the impact" while playing a game.  As for the 360, I dont like it. But the sad thing is that everyone in this school plays 360. I only found a handful of PS2ers. So sad... So should be quite some time before that is ready so I won't plan on getting PS3 anytime soon now... malarkie Posted December 5, 2006 Share Posted December 5, 2006 I thought that DMC 3 was a suitable sequel to the first, the second one can drown in pits of battery acid. The difference between HD and regular sets is noticable most in text, everything else is just a bit clearer and shinier.
