Sinister Posted September 21, 2006 Share Posted September 21, 2006 I will propose something even if I know it will fail... How about amking up design for an action Star Wars game based on the original trilogy? That's what I'm talking about. They made serious toned action games based on the Prequel trilogy for the PS2 and such, but we don't see anything like that for the OT.  How about a game that starts off playing in Episode IV and you can play as Luke, Han, and Obi-Wan (for the Vader duel, even though you do lose). Then they can use this formula for the rest of the trilogy. As Luke, you could learn new Force powers and lightsaber skills. Then in Return of the Jedi, you could fight in the Battle of Endor in the Falcon, X-wing, or B-wing. It would be cool to go up against Tie-fighters, Star Destroyers, and even the Executor. JediHunter Posted September 27, 2006 Share Posted September 27, 2006 i think you could have games that deal with the empire's sieging of power.. like.. i know its talked about in the darth vader book.. but i think they screwed it a bit.. the enslavement of the wookies would be a good event to cover in a game.. the hunt for the jedi.. you could play both sides in each scenario really... you could make a strategy type game for you being palpatine and taking over the galaxy as the newly "appointed" emperor.. all the while trying to keep the DS a secret.. hmm.. there may be some more stuff.. but i would try to end the game before the time of the OT.. maybe go only like.. 15 years max into the "future" that way you arent crossing time lines.. but.. in my opinion.. a game is a game.. its fun to interfere with the "natural" course of time that we have come to know.. like.. it would be fun for me to be Vader investigating the Jedi and come upon the fact that Anakin has kin.. and you get to stop them.. or something,... The_Dane Posted September 27, 2006 Share Posted September 27, 2006 I think it would be really cool to follow Palpatine when Vader throws him into the DS II's reactorcore (ala the start of LOTR 2 (movie that is) with Gandalf and the Balrog)and then pick up the game as Palpatines clone.Then you would plot revenge on those ignorant Skywalker prats and their "playmates"... This would then alter story as we know and love (I'm thinking about Timothy Zahn's Thrawn Trilogy)... but it would be awesome to just go frenzy at Luke's Jedi Academy and should you die? JediHunter Posted September 27, 2006 Share Posted September 27, 2006 see yea.. i think that could be a totally awesome game Mad... and like as a jedi you have to covertly explore and investigate a planet.. and then choose to hide or not.. and if you get caught you have to fight and try to flee.. but if you dont get out fast enough you have to fight vader or something like that... i think this game has a lot of potential... as sith.. that would be pretty cool.. striking down as many jedi before they are totally lost..
