jedirebel2001 Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 I think Jake Loyd could have done better, Hayden Christenson was ok for AOTC but he was much better in ROTS. Natalie Portman didn't have a lot of scenes or lines on ROTS, I think they deleted some of her best scenes, they should have left a lot of those scenes in. I also would have changed the birth scene/death scene. I think Leia should have been born first, Padme should have gotten to hold her a minute, then just as Luke was born Padme dies. It would have better explained why Leia has the "beautiful but sad" memories of Padme and Luke has no memories of Padme at all. But I did like that they put Luke next to Padme when she told Obi-wan that there was still good in Anakin, It carried over well into ROTS. but that just my opinion I am what Iam, no more no less

Master_Xan Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 One word. Midichlorians. *DING DING DING* We have a winner!!I'd have deleted that entire scene. Better yet, filmed it, then cut it from the movie and burned it. In a large furnace, at least hot enough to melt steel. Then, I'd have shot all the script writers who had anything at all to do with the scene, including George Lucas himself. Finally, I'd have burned the editors at the stake for allowing such a monstrosity into the movie! Er, I mean, yeah... I hated that part too. And Jar Jar needs to go, or at least be matured so as to not make the movie good for 5 year olds. The corny love scenes and lines from Ep 2 need some work, and while R2D2 flying is cool, it doesn't fit very well at all. The puns could certainly go as well. And some more stuff, but that's good enough for now. Star Wars: Rebellion, A Field Manual"O be wise, what can I say more?"

Aenivae_Ikeda Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 All of the prequels seem surreal, and like the comic relief of the original trilogy. Also, in the begining of all of the movies it says "A long time ago in a galaxy far far away" and when I was younger I believed that... Now all I believe is "Fairly recent, from the cranium of a moron". The whole thing is CG which pisses me off something awful because all of the shabby, falling apart ships and sets in the original trilogy seem real, like actual spaceships. The new ones just seem infomercial backdrops because the characters don't fit into them. The characters in it are badly displayed. The mystery that was Boba Fett is ruined by seeing him as a young child and without a helmet. Obi-wan is okay, but could have been a lot better. The Jedi all appear as morons, and could have been greatly improved. Maul was a waste of time since he had no development. I mean Lucas could have at least had scenes with him searching for the Jedi in public and displaying a wit, and intelligence... But instead he's just a goon. Lucas dispatches his characters too easily, I mean Stephen King does it too but only after he's let you know the character and like and appreciate them. That way when they die quickly you respond to it more angrilly, sorrowfully, all that jazz. Personally I would take Lucas off the team altogether and put Peter Jackson(As bad as that sounds) in charge. The man is amazing when it comes to meeting the bar. Actors... Natalie Portman could stay as Padme, she could do better with better scenes and lines. Hayden would be replaced with the original Anakin Leonardo Decaprio, and most everyone else would have been the same. The wookies wouldn't have been CG, but humans that way they would be more dynamic... DarthTofu Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Umm, Leonardo D'caprio? When did he play Anakin? 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
HerrGeneral Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Leonardo D'caprio? Nooooooooooooooooooo! That would have been the death of the Star Wars franchise. Although, alot more women would have taken an interest I can only stand to watch parts of I & II. Ep III was alot better IMO, but needs some triming. Lucas should have made the Thrawn Trilogy or KoToR maybe? If fact, make that Peter Jackson. http://www.swrebellion.com/images/banner_be.gif
Mad78 Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 How to improve the prequels.- Remove the midichlorians.- Throw Jake Llloyd into a pit and then fill it with rocks.- Make Jar Jar a bit more warrior-like and less a goof.- Check your continuity. How to improve the remastered version of Ep 4 5 6.- Han shoots first. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Aenivae_Ikeda Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Lucas was going to originally cast Leonardo but then decided against it because he wanted a less 'well-known' actor playing Anakin for whatever reason. Seriously though, Leonardo disappeared for a couple of years and reappeared and kicks ass at acting now. Granted that he doesn't have the martial arts training that Hayden does (Another reason why he was picked) he would be a huge improvement over the big block of wood that is Hayden running around on screen. I heard someone say once that Christian Bale would have been a good Anakin but I'm not so sure they could pull it off using him, despite the fact that he is a very good actor. Seriously though, a new Anakin, and a new director... As much as I dislike Williams, his ripped of music does work well for Star Wars "I saw the greatest minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving, hysterical, naked, dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix." -Allen Ginnsberg, "Howl"
DarthTofu Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Ripped off? I vote a few changes: Make the prequals before the rest of the episodes (Thus it is physically less advanced) then make the rest of 'em (IE IV-VI), just take out Padme' naming the twins as they're born... So corny... Oh, yes, and change the delivery droid's hands- they disterb me as to whaat's going on down there... And kill Jake and Hayden, or at least chop them up! 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
budious Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Lucas was going to originally cast Leonardo but then decided against it because he wanted a less 'well-known' actor playing Anakin ... Leonardo should be thankful he didn't get the part. I'm sure it's not part of Samuel L Jackson's or Natalie Portman's resumes. Defender_16 Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Everything Two words: Nearly Everything. One word. Midichlorians.Yeah I wasn't too thrilled about that either. Here's something I'd ADD! Dreadnaughts and Z-95's. http://mitglied.lycos.de/STARWARS_Blueprints/3other_battleships/dreadnaught.gif http://sw-liberator.by.ru/big/z95.jpg Above would equal the most advanced fighters available at the time of the clone Wars. Cloakshape fighters too would make an appearance. And last but not least, as taken from the Timothy Zahn books, the good guys would be fighting AGAINST the clones.

DarthTofu Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 And last but not least, as taken from the Timothy Zahn books, the good guys would be fighting AGAINST the clones. Well they were... The Jedi, that is... Though for the winning side to call them clone wars makes it odd... You'd think they'd call 'em the droid wars or something. I like the idea of some of the crummier fighters in the EU being added, though- 'cept I think that R.A. Salvador gave the seperatists a few of 'em in his book version of RotS... 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Aenivae_Ikeda Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 While we're on the subject, what would the prequel trilogy be like if it was based around a lot of the EU? I enjoy the idea of Zahn of having the good guys fighting the clones. The second movie for me is where Anakin should have fallen to the dark side. The third should have been the Return of The King of the series with a giant civil war between the Jedi, the clones, and the republic. With Anakin hunting down the Jedi (as the original trilogy says) Knights. There would have been a battle over and on Coruscant where Anakin destroys a last stand of Jedi Knights, and the clones destroy the republic. Palpatine takes control like he should and everything is great... But yeah. I just want to see Vader himself killing some Jedi. BadSamaritan Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 And last but not least, as taken from the Timothy Zahn books, the good guys would be fighting AGAINST the clones. Well, here is a theory. if you remember, the clone troopers out of the prequals were not exact clones of Jango, but instead were genetically altered to be perfect soldiers, not perfect mercenaries (Jango was more of a merc than anything else by the time of the prequals). Now, the biggest problem with genetically altering things, is that it doesn't always work out the way you planned. Cross a few DNA strands, throw is some choas theory, and problems are sure to arise. How long it will take, and what those problems are, no one can tell. Ok, so we have genetically altered clones, which may or may not behave as they should over the course of their lifespans. And we have a huge amount of time intbetween RotS and A New Hope. Enough time for Luke and Leia to grow into adults. Perhaps in that time span, the clones hit a glitch, and lost it? Clones all go insane, the new Empire has to fight them off, wins, and bans cloning to avoid this mess again. This way, both the EU, and the oh-so-screwed-up prequals are both correct. Or am I just senile? I once knew a great man. Nothing got to him, and he always smiled. May he forever rest in peace, knowing fully well that his freinds shall remember him.
Mitth_raw_nuruodo Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 That actually sounds plausible BS. BTW: I like the sig. Chaos, Panic, Disorder, Destruction.....My work here is done. Grand AKmiralCommander-in-Chief of BEAK Forces(CINCBEAK) BEAK Imperium"To BEAK is Divine!"
