You probably hate me for my nostalgic postings about far too old games I make here time by time.

But this is truly a must have link for any of you guys still knowing what 'DOTT' means. Not only that, here you can find downloads for old Star Wars games like X-wing or Rebel Assault. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

8O *Hugs LLF* Thank you! I am not worthy to kiss the ground at your feet, great master of...umm...the internet! Thank you! :D:D:D

Five minutes later: Wait- I already bought almost all of these games way back when they actually came out in the first place...

Well they aren't infringing the law.

...Are you sure? Some stuff might have been abandoned, such as the Indiana Jones games, but I can't see LucasArts giving anything up without... Well, actually I just can't see them giving anything up period :? They're annoying like that.

Mad, you may want to see

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abandonware

The term has no legal meaning. This means that labeling any kind of software 'abandonware' does not make it legal to distribute it. Unless put in the public domain, any and all abandonware remains covered under copyright law.

No, what i mean is that they clearly say when you are going to unzip that you must be owner of the original and that they offer the game only for backup purposes.

Still, dishonest people ( ) can upload the games onto their compy without having actually bought it in the first place. Too bad Rebellion isn't on there

LucasArts is pretty aggressive in enforcing their copyright for Star Wars. Heck, you can't even post the music from their SW games.

Dangit, you can't play Rebel Assault with a Joystick from this century  I managed to beat the first part of level one before I crashed and burned on the ground in target practice. :( My danged joystick isn't being picked up by the stupid compy even though it claims it was installed! Now what am I gonna do for New Years?:x:?:D:lol:

I think there was a prog that allows you to emulate old joysticks.

*cocks eyebrow* Any idea where I might find this program of yours?

Why do I have a feeling that their site is gonna be shut down by Lucas real soon...

There is a fair chance for that. However, it's interesting, that this site only hosts Sierra and Lucas games.

It's unlikely, that LucasArts is fully aware of this sites content. Sites like "Home of the Underdogs" do not host Lucasgames at all (ok there are 2-3 games hosted on it.)

Probably, we are not the ones who could decide, what is legal and what is not. But I really like this site :D
