As a free modelling program, it was great - utilised a lot of features used by 3ds max for basic modelling, was only like 30Mb. It only had a few faults - couldn't render and didn't get any of the newer benifits of later 3ds max versions.AutoDesk does have a legitamet reason at least for discontinuing the product - still, it'll be missed. On a side note - for those interested in the world of 3d modelling - here's some relatively ground breaking news:Autodesk News Autodesk is going to own Alias! What's does the future hold for 3ds Max and Maya then? Will one disappear? Will both be continued as if nothing happened?
