34. Miami, Florida

W00T! Floridians come out high on the ranking! Though I still have to wonder why in the world Merritt Island isn't on that list! Everybody thinks we're either seminole indians or redneck hicks thanks to kennedy Space center's "Nature and Space" exhibit.:lol::lol: Apparently we're a national wildlife preserve, and have seminole indians living in all of our backyards. 8O

The survey was based on security, quality of life and stuff like that.

Houston, TX is #29, but I'm wondering why more cities in Texas aren't on the list? Security is never a problem, we all drive around in pickup trucks with gunracks loaded with rifles and/or shotguns, and everybody is packin' a six-shooter. You'd be a fool to try anything in public at least.

In the 30s.. not bad. I'd thought it would rank much worse, given the crime, traffic, etc...

Hold on- what the hell is Miami doing on that list in the low thirties, then? It has negative security! You go to miami you have about a 1 in 5,000,000,000 chance of escaping with your cash and/or life... and/or virginity.

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie! Oi, oi oi! :D

I'm living in number 1 - Melbourne!!!!

Once I figure out why it's number 1 I'll let you all know :?

Wow, in fact the worst place in Australia is ranked 8th with a tie of Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.

Umm, by any chance did Australians do this ranking? I mean Adelaide is 8th tied with Sydney?!? Looking at the list, I'd put Adeliade at 80-90th position

Why the hell isnt Christchurch on that list? 8O

It is a known fact that is is a better place to live than Auckland and probibly Wellington!

I mean, we have close to no murders/robberies/rapes etc, very nice lifestyles and plenty of education etc.

I mean, I am not surprized that Melbourne is #1, because I have heard it rocks, but I have also heard reports about Christchurch having a wider range on offer providing an awesome lifestyle :P

I mean, I have been all over the world and I haven't seen a City with as much to offer as Christchurch without any worries of securities etc!

For example, I dont need to worry about locking up my house, I do when I know i will be gone for like ages, but any time less than a day and no sweat! Also, I dont need to fear dark alley ways and the like.

It offers all a City needs less the bad and congested traffic systems etc.

I mean, I can get from My place (On the rural boarder of town 10k away) to the city center in like 10 mins! This beats Auckland and Wellingtons Gridlocks for sure! As a local subdivision advertised their properties:

"City Living, Country Life!"

I think that list is kind of messed up!

Meh, Ah well!

three for me, though I never actually lived in someem- just visited: Boston, Massachusetts; Atlanta, Georgia (What in the world Tex found so great about it, I don't know); and Seattle, Washington (Born there, but I moved early, so I don't remember it :( ) If I counted airports I would have a lot more, but 1: I'm too lazy and 2: That's cheating in my opinion.

I went there with a friend who grew up in the area. He knew of all the hot spots to visit, and the tourist traps to avoid. 8)
