dinochick Posted March 6, 2003 Author Posted March 6, 2003 Does anyone remeber this It was 1987! At a lecture the other day they were playing an old news video of Lt.Col. Oliver North testifying at the Iran-Contra hearings during the Reagan Administration. There was Ollie in front of God and country getting the third degree, but what he said was stunning! He was being drilled by a senator; "Did you not recently spend close to $60,000 for a home security system?" Ollie replied, "Yes, I did, Sir." The senator continued, trying to get a laugh out of the audience, "Isn't that just a little excessive?" "No, sir," continued Ollie. "No? And why not?" the senator asked. "Because the lives of my family and I were threatened, sir." "Threatened? By whom?" the senator questioned. "By a terrorist, sir" Ollie answered. "Terrorist? What terrorist could possibly scare you that much?" "His name is Osama bin Laden, sir" Ollie replied. At this point the senator tried to repeat the name, but couldn't pronounce it, which most people back then probably couldn't. A couple of people laughed at the attempt. Then the senator continued. Why are you so afraid of this man?" the senator asked. "Because, sir, he is the most evil person alive that I know of", Ollie answered. "And what do you recommend we do about him?" asked the senator. "Well, sir, if it was up to me, I would recommend that an assassin team be formed to eliminate him and his men from the face of the earth." The senator disagreed with this approach, and that was all that was shown of the clip. By the way, that senator was Al Gore Also: Terrorist pilot Mohammad Atta blew up a bus in Israel in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and imprisoned him. As part of the Oslo agreement with the Palestinians in 1993, Israel had to agree to release so-called "political prisoners." However, the Israelis would not release any with blood on their hands, The American President at the time, Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, "insisted" that all prisoners be released. Thus Mohammad Atta was freed and eventually thanked the US by flying an airplane into Tower One of the World Trade Center. This was reported by many of the American TV networks at the time that the terrorists were first identified. It was censored in the US from all later reports. http://www.dinochick.com/dc_saber_banner_02.gif
ElvisMiggell Posted March 6, 2003 Posted March 6, 2003 Wow, i confess that i did not know that. But then hindsight is a very useful thing. Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Gank Posted March 6, 2003 Posted March 6, 2003 Heres a few other things you may not know: In 1979 an oil company called Arbusto was set up, one of the financial backers was the Bin Laden family. The company was run by George W Bush. The Bin Laden family also invested heavily in the Carlyle group, George Bush snrs company. In 1997 the leaders of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan flew into Houston while Bush was governer and had meetings with a company called Unocal concerning the building of an oil pipe across Afghanistan. Haliburton was the company slated to build the pipeline, its chairman at the time is the current vice president. Now a former Unocal employee is US ambassador to Afghanistan and Haliburton has a deal to build a pipeline across Afghanistan. Shortly after Sept 11th, at a time when ordinary Americans could not fly, A Saudi chartered jet flew around the US and picked up 20 or more members of the Bin Laden family and took them out of the country. This could not have been done without the US governments knowledge. Like the above post all these things were printed in the media and have not been brought up since.
Jahled Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 Gank, Dinochick...two brilliant posts, well done guys! I am a little freaked out that the content of both your posts is news to me, and my first read of them is on a Star Wars site! Why have the content of both of your posts been absent from the media? The plot thickens.... http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
ElvisMiggell Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 I suspect its something to do with the government being sensible and trying not to provoke hysteria. I'm not AWARE of there being any evidence against the Bin Laden family other than that against Osama, but in the wake of September the Eleventh it would not surprise me if there had been death threats against members of this family. It seems to me to be fairly reasonable to allow the Bin Laden family to leave the country, in lieu of possible reactions and revenge strikes not condoned in any way by the government. Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Gank Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 That is plausible Elvis, but remember this happened before it was announced that Bin Laden was responsible. Thats not the point though, the point is they were let go without questioning. Maybe they didnt know where Osama was, but in the aftermath of the biggest terrorist attack ever you would think the perpetrators family would be the first ones questioned. If somebody shot your mother or father and the police let the gunmans family flee the country without asking if they knew where he was how would you feel? And its kinda ironic that the Bush family helped Osama to fund Al-Quada isnt it, I'm sure if it was Gore or Clinton who had done the same we'd have heard all about it long ago.
ElvisMiggell Posted March 10, 2003 Posted March 10, 2003 Why are you sure about that last? How do we know that Gore or Clinton wouldn't have hidden it? And how do we know that they weren't questioned? Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... dinochick Posted March 20, 2003 Author Posted March 20, 2003 (edited) here we go again Edited March 20, 2003 by dinochick http://www.dinochick.com/dc_saber_banner_02.gif
dinochick Posted March 20, 2003 Author Posted March 20, 2003 http://content.health.msn.com/content/article/60/67217.htmWell, here we go again. I know the "media" is only trying to help, but it is kind of freaking me out, like maybe they know something that we don't, and they aren't giving us all the correct iformation. Like, for instance, the talk, once again, about the duck tape and plastic sheats. At least this time they are telling people to tape up thier vents and turn off the circulations (duh! )! This was not told back when they first started telling us all this jumbo. And, they are not telling anyone to tape off the entire room like they should be. Just taping up the vents, windows, dorrs, ect isnt going to work. And they fail to mention that if you do lock yourself in a seald room that you will need a bottle of oxygen or you will just end up killing yourself slower (duh, once again ). I mean, dosen't that make sence?Any input folks? http://www.dinochick.com/dc_saber_banner_02.gif
