DarthTofu Posted August 21, 2005 Posted August 21, 2005 Anyone else here the news story that a former child actor from "Mighty Morphing Power Rangers" is being charged with murder, hijacking a yaght, tying the owners to the anchor and throwing them overboard? Aside from the whole killing part, I found this kinda funny. I don't know which ranger he was. 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
lordofgame Posted August 21, 2005 Posted August 21, 2005 are you talking about the show for kids 5 and under?
DarthTofu Posted August 21, 2005 Author Posted August 21, 2005 The original show for kids five and under- wait a second, I watched it when I was seven! I broke the law! But yeah, I think he was an extra on the show. 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
lordofgame Posted August 21, 2005 Posted August 21, 2005 saw one ep and yelled WTF (yes when i was 5 i said the f word) this is the most stuiped show ever (may not be exact words)
DarthTofu Posted August 21, 2005 Author Posted August 21, 2005 lol, it was always fun watching them run to the other end of the screen to emphasize being hit by the giant monster or whatever, and then yell "hiya!" as they hit the guys running around on the Z's. But apparentl this was a bad enough show to resourt to murder. 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away

Mad78 Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 I found the idea that the people of the show seemed convinced that a monster must explode when defeated http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
DarthTofu Posted August 22, 2005 Author Posted August 22, 2005 They didn't always explode- sometimes they just fell down. What bothered me was that they each had their own seperate vehicle and that there was never an episode where they just used the vehicles: They always used the giant Robot formation. 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Darth_Rob Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 I think I remember an episode when the pteradon girl was doing strafing runs with hers Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side! My Website http://fp.profiles.us.playstation.com/playstation/psn/pid/BigBadBob113.png

Defender_16 Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Oh my God. I had the theme song from this show (Which I haven't watched in 7..8..9 years) pop into my head yesterday while playing halo online. "Go, go, Power Rangers! Dooo dee dee duu duu..." I then immediately scored several "Killtackular!"s with my sniper rifle while humming it... O M G! I must be a Mighty Morphing Sniper Ranger!
Eko Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 You poor, poor person. I've just remembered i've got a signature!
Mad78 Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 Do you have a sniper rifle which turns into a sword and a pc which can turn into a megosaurustoyota? http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Darth_Rob Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 I still can't get over how many spin offs were made after the original show died off. There was probabally like 5 or more. Stupid Fox. DarthTofu Posted August 28, 2005 Author Posted August 28, 2005 Gotta agree with you there, Rob- then there were the action figures that were made. Did anyone else not understand why they had eight different suits of armor on different action figures that never appeared on the actual show? 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Mad78 Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 I just understood the marketing director was a jerk. You got these five suits and then by some miracle you were supposed to know how to assemble them into some armor which looks exactly the same as the others but with different colors. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Darth_Rob Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 But I think all action figures go out of control. Like the Ninja Turtles. Now I loved (and still love) the Turtles. But there was like 10 versions of each Turtle. I remember one line that was called "Sewer Spittin", where each turtle filled with water and then squirt. Then there was another stupid line that had them all in "costumes" (I remember Leo was a samuari, Donatello was an undercover detective, and Mikie was a clown). But I guess that that's how marketing works. Just keep poppin them out til the whole fad dies down. Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side! Mad78 Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Another example is Action man, they must of made hundreds of different kinds of those. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
DarthTofu Posted August 29, 2005 Author Posted August 29, 2005 Action man was more than just an action figure? I always assumed that was all he ever was. You know, like GI Joe and Barbie. Not that I play with barbies or ever have, of course 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Lord_La_forge Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 G.I. Joe was a cartoon too. It had quite alot episodes, even in movie lenght. I still have the G.I. Joe movie on original DVD
Mad78 Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Action Man also has a cartoon but i don't know about a movie. LLF how bad is the G.I. Joe movie? http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Darth_Rob Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 I remember most of those crazy perks of being a kid during my time (the 80's), and I do not recall an Action Man. Was he earlier than GI Joe? Defender_16 Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 No. Much much later. Like 2001. I used to watch the show on TV for the first season. ALEX MANN IS ACTION MAN! It was an attempt to make a cg tv show that had "Bullet Time" moments. Big supprise, they needed to face down some evil doctor... over something. ...um yeah. EDIT: So i'm thinking now that it was a remake of an earlier show. Or several earlier shows. There's an Action Man animated movie dated 1995. It looks like Action Man was a GI Joe-esq toy line in the UK between 1966-1984. The line came back out in 1994 but was considered a dissapointment. http://www.answers.com/topic/action-man http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery;jsessionid=4ng3ktao6p82o?method=4&dsid=2222&dekey=Action+Man+%28television%29&gwp=8&curtab=2222_1&sbid=lc05aThe one I was thinking of was made by Mainframe Entertainment, the makers of Reboot. http://www.mainframe.ca/
Darth_Rob Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Ah. I never heard of him. But back in the day, I was always a He-Man man myself. Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side! My Website http://fp.profiles.us.playstation.com/playstation/psn/pid/BigBadBob113.png
