Favorite Star Wars Television Reference

Dont you love it when you're watching your favorite show, and suddenly they throw a Star Wars reference out? And your laughing, and everybody else just looks at you? I love to see television spoof/ reference Star Wars. So whats your favorite? I have two.

My first is from the Simpsons. There is an episode where Mark Hamill comes to town (Hamill actually guest-voice). It is so hilarious. Basically, Hamill is there for a comic book convention. As the episode goes on, Homer becomes the mayor's bodyguard, and the mayor wants to see the broadway show, "Guys & Dolls". Well, once there, it is revealed that the star of the broadway is Mark Hamill, and hes prancing around on stage, singing this crazy song about Yoda. It's great! In the end, Hamill claims that he breaks a leg, and forces Homer to carry him through a crowd of protesters. It was classic.

My second is from South Park. Theres an episode where Johnny Cockrin comes out to defend someone, and gives his "Chewbacca Defense". I can't explain it. It's just Cockrin, rambling on for like 2 minutes about Chewbacca, and something about why he would like to live on Endor. A must see for all ages!

So whats your favorite???

All the scenes Stargate rips straight from Star Wars... They allways plant a joke about Star Wars in them as well.

My favorite one was when O'Neal and Tealc go over to Carter's with Pizza and a movie. You can guess which movie it is...

O'Neal: "Hey Carter."

Carter: "Whats this?"

O'Neal: "Pizza and a Movie. Star Wars, Tealc seen it what seven eight times?"

Tealc: "That is correct O'Neal."

The Simpsons, from the Springfield Film Festival in which the Imperial March is played when the action cuts to MR Burns's office, or Chewbacca Guest Starring in the 'Springfield Files', or the Randal Curtis Episode, with Randall Curtis being the Simpson version of Lucas.

Many many many movies have lots of SW References, there's also JAy and Silent Bob Strike back, Mallrats, Clerks...

If any one watched the last Family Guy, the end scene was by far my fav. Peter is recieving a medal for bravery and the whole scene is done like the Yavin Medal Ceremony, complete with Chewie, R2 and 3PO.

History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.

I must agree that I also enjoyed the references in Keven Smith's films. I liked in Chasing Amy, when they were talking about how there are no good black sci-fi personalities, and the one guys like, "what about Lando?".

Yeah the Chewbacca defense is my favorite...

"This is Chewbacca, and Chewbacca lives on the planet Kashyyyk... Now that does not make sense. And if that does not make sense then you must acquit."

I'd like to mention the occasions in the Simpsons whan there's a cut to Montgomery Burns' office and the Imperial March plays. :D

And of course the scene from Dexter's Lab:

Dexter's Father: "Dexter, I am your father!"

Dexter: "Nooo! No, this cannot be! ... Oh wait, yes, you're right."

I remember one english game where there was a sketch which happened in the Falcon when luke was training with the saber.

They had a young guy play ben. The drone was replaced by an onion and the halmet has replaced with a bucket :lol::lol::lol:

Luke: Ben i shall never hit the onion!

Ben: You must use the force. Here try this.

He puts the bucket on luke's head

Luke gets shot at by the onion

Luke: No but, ouch i ouch

Ben: Come on have a whack at it concentrate give it a slash.

For all of you Simpsons fans out there:

They have just released a new DVD titled "Bart Wars". It contains four episodes, but the main reason I bought it was that one of the episodes is the Mark Hammil one I mentioned earlier. It is such a great episode. The DVD was only $7. I highly recommend it.
