Guest Scathane Posted April 11, 2003 Posted April 11, 2003 I imagined something like ear, but the rest didnt seem logical. Well, if you imagine that the Dutch word kussen can be translated as pillow or cushion as a noun, whereas it can also be translated as the verb to kiss, you can imagine that we're pretty fuzzy folk. On the other hand, our language is as logic defying as English, where you drive in a parkway and park in a driveway, as has been discussed earlier in these forums. No, i'm not from hell they banned me from that place. Mephistopheles didn't me, so he wound up tossing me out.See, that's what I'm saying: you're from hell...

Trejiuvanat Posted April 11, 2003 Posted April 11, 2003 Language is hardly logical.well, yess, but Hell gets pretty boring after a while. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
the_mask Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 Well it was kind of logical to me, because the German word for pillow is 'Kissen'. Of course it could also happen, that there would be some kissing on a Kissen, whereas a Kissen on a kisser wouldn't be very nice. Confused ? Well I'm in a break from the last three hours of a math lecture, so that would explain my current state of mind http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif

Try stuffing the European aviation industry into an Abell-model...
Trejiuvanat Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 Not confused either, and I won't be worrying about school till the 28th. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
