I've never really understood why people would buy a "functioning" lightsaber like that. I know it's cool, but wouldn't you want to be able to duel with it (not in line please, that's just embarassing for the rest of us waiting to see the movie!)? Even the Master Replicas lighsabres, with their sturdy blades, can't be used for that. You'r only option would be the childrens lightsabers with telescopic blades.

Still cool though, LLF! They used to be $900, so it looks as though he's able to get cheaper parts.

History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.

I remeber a finding a site where they told you haw to make yourself a lightsaber to reproduce combats. The price of the needed components was a total of about 30$.

It's not just a Light Saber thing. Years ago I used to go to Games Conventions where there would always be the entertaining sight of fully armoured knights dueling each other with swords as you stand in line.

Begs the question though... what happens when your standing in line for a gun convention... 8O

You must be quite an idiot to buy such trash

They don't sell the stuff. They just tell you what you need to get. The stuff can be bought at any hardware store.

Fans reenact their favorite scene of old spaghetti westerns.

Guest JediIgor

Keep in mind that this is not to be used as a toy, for swordfighting but it is plenty tough enough to swing around since the neon tube is encased in a strong, clear shockmounted enclosure for protection.

$390 and I can't even use it for sword fighting? Then what the hell is the point, :x

  • 2 weeks later...

I remember, once my brother received a Dark Vader light sabre who did light and sound and, best of all, could be used for sward fighting, it was the pride of our toys. After several years of being bashed around, bent and all the rest (and Mad can confirm seeing as he was the pore Jedi who hade no sabre) it slowly came apart. So I decided to by a Dark Maul version one day in the London airport. Bull shit it was (sorry for the terms, but I really mean it). After even not two days, I was like Dark Maul at the end of the fight, with only one sabre left. And then after two other days, I hade to stick them back, and the light was broken.

The sad thing is that I never came across a light sabre a good quality as the Dark Vader's one was.

Truly, the Empire has always had the best...
