warlordsv92b error

Hi guys!

Has been long time since my last visit to this site. And wow, it is huge now! No chance anymore to browse through all the db!

And the models are really cool, nice work!

But I got a problem:

I downloaded the warlordsv92b TC.

I unzipped it. Moved the DllEntries.bak from Rebed to a different folder. Renamed the DllEntries.war to DllEntries.bak and copied it into the rebed folder where the former DllEntries.bak had been. Then I opened rebed and atarted loading the warloardsv92b.reb setting.

It took me over half an hour and what I got was an error message:

***Erreur Critique***

From 'NIL' Sender, at 40F2054E

Exception Class: EReadError

Message: Invalid Property value

L'application va etre fermee

No idea why on french, since I have US version of rebellion and rebed is US as well I think.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi There.

I think (and I might be wrong) that your error occurred in transferring the newly named 'DllEntries.bak' file into the Rebed folder. Not the transfer, but the renaming of the file. The .war file needs to be renamed to 'DllEntries.txt' (Note: once you rename it with a .txt extension and hit Enter, the extension will disappear, but it will be the .txt file it's supposed to be).

If you ever need to restore everything as it was before you began this process (after restoring the 'DllEntries.bak' file to it's 'DllEntries.txt' name and returning it to the Rebed folder), go to Rebed and click on the 'DLL Entries' button on the lower right. Then just click on the 'Restore from CD' button.

Try this and see if it works, but I would hang on for confirmation of these instructions. A second opinion is better than more errors, but this process turned-out fine for me.

Good Luck!

Arvos ! Welcome back, long time no see :D

Thanks again for that Deathstar savegame back then.

Pucho's explanation should work just fine.

I guess the error messages in RebEd are in french, cause Revolution,

the guy who created the program, is from France.

Maybe he used a french version of Delphi back then to compile it, that

would explain, why only the error messages are in french.

Recommend you use the Partial Installer to reinstall Rebellion back to its original settings, before you load settings into RebED.
