Guest Scathane Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 I don't know what he did, but it seems to be working fine now!
Jahled Posted October 20, 2004 Author Posted October 20, 2004 A 1.46 Sig will be cruel for the folks with 56K connection. But I don't have any idea how to solve your problem. Agreed. No one even dare go there with such file sizes! It's the quickest way to turn away newbies, and I for one as someone who has been around for a while quickly wouldn't! If you've got something that is absolutely blinding and simply must must be shared with the rest of us, link it the url method; not the img way! Members signitures are already causing me a headache, so url it! For gif file size problems double check a few things beyond what Trej said; you can apply lossy about to 20% without loosing to much, reduce image size, reduce number of frames (obviously), and then consider your gif's coulour settings. Realistically, any gif above 150 k is worthless; given it's not immediately fun to appreciate, should have been done in Flash or what not not justify the file-size, and simply isn't fair on non-broad band users. Err... no hang on! Grrr! http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
Guest Scathane Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 Does anyone have experience with converting movs to gifs?
Mad78 Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 I believe that Ulead GIF Animator (the one i used in the pictured tutorial before) has an option in the Animation wizard for that kind of thing. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Guest Scathane Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 I see. The problem I'm currently having is that when I import my files into ImageReady as frames, ImageReady reorders their order...
Mad78 Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 On most programs you can move the frames about to change their order. I don't use ImageReady but i guess there musn't be much difference between the different animators.Try downloading Ulead. Its a shareware. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Guest Scathane Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 I bet, but, I've got 76 frames to reorder!
Mad78 Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 76 i would suggest you try to cut that down. In stead of using 4 images for an arm movement use 2. It will not make much difference if you lower the appearence time. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Guest Scathane Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 That seems feasible... I'm still not clear on how to save the file as a gif using Imageready...
Mad78 Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 Try Save AS and select gif as file format. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Trejiuvanat Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 I think it was in Save Optimized As... You might have to tinker with the optimization previews for a while to render your PSD into 256 colors. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
Guest Scathane Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 Try Save AS and select gif as file format. Well, duhh! I did that, saving it as a gif isn't an option...
Mad78 Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 You Really need to download Ulead. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance

Any idea how they did it? Not really, though you can see a small propeller prop at the front of the mower, and the handle bars at the back appear to be a tail fin. Still, how they loop and bank that thing is beyond me! http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1333/3dartistbanneranimationws1.gifhttp://img154.imageshack.us/img154/4026/rebellionbannerdi2.gif
Mad78 Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 My guess is this. If you look at the place where the mower's engine normally is you can see its simply a kinda tunnel. They must have made a replica of a mower in a light material and then place a propeller in thgat tunnel. The front bit I think is mounted with two set of rudders which allow it to bank and turn. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance

Guest Scathane Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 You've been watching too much Star Wars if this is your idea of a good time. This made me laugh as well!
Mad78 Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 I must say today i saw what i think was the worst flash anime ever. i won't bother posting a link but i shall just say that i found it on PlanetHalflife and that it was about the delays in the making of hl 2. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance

Guest Scathane Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 Sjeez! That must be one of the worst things I've ever seen! This, on the other hand, is one of the better things...
