You can change that to a custom picture by going to the 'Forums' link at the top of the page and clicking on the 'Profile' link the drop-down menu. At the bottom of the new window that loads, you'll see a place to type in the URL of a custom avatar. Sometimes it is just a little more information that gets results.Thanks SOCL. After I read through the FAQ area I got the impression the avatar privilege is something anointed by the admins or mods.
