  1. 1. Should we keep everything on one community forum?

    • Yes - I want to be able to view everything

    • No - It makes the forums page load too long

More questions, post your comments here:

Should we continue to use one forum? Or would multiple forums be used for faster loading?

Do you like the way the forums are arranged?

Are there any forums features that you would like enabled?

Are there some forums inactive that should be removed?

- JK forums has not been posted in months, there's only a few posts on the other games, and its not like there is any new news for them

Would you like a seperate forums for the SW Mods? Warlords?

Would you want forums allowed for guest posting?

Would you like an easier URL to the forums? http://www.swrebellion.com/forums/ maybe?

I like the forum the way it is. I experienced that SW mod section has guests, that are not posting elsewhere. Perhaps it could be working separetly.

The "Rebellion 2" is still very active (dunno why though), so I would like to see it somewhere upwards.

The problem with JK or Kotor forums is, that they will be alive for only a sort peroid of time anyway. Perhaps there is no need for them. You could make a new forum section with the name "Star wars games" and sticky some new game topics in it. If the time comes, just unsticky and let it die down.

To load forum page faster (it is fast enough howver) you could disband all Rebellion Reloaded forums, since we use "members only" now. Absolutely no need for them.

I second La_Forge on the other RR forums. But I, too, would like some more emoticons. ;-)

Five of the Greatest Lines in the Star Wars Trilogy ;)

-"As you wish..."

-"He's no good to me dead..."

-"What if he doesn't survive? He's worth a lot to me."

-"Put Captain Solo in the Cargo Hold"

-"AaaaaAAaaaaaa!!"

I think that making the forum URL http://www.swrebellion.com/forums or anything that simple would be great! :D

Would you want forums allowed for guest posting?
No, No, and NO!!!

I also think that maybe we should be a "guest-friendly" forum...like, having the "Questions from Newbies" forum be the only forum where non-members would be allowed...but maybe that's just me....

Also, I've always wondered about the "Members Only" forum and "RPG 2" forum? What are they for? At least one of them isn't active....

I think the forum should stay as it is.

More emoticons would be nice.

A few forums such as the JK forum could be removed since it has nopt had a post for a long long long time.

I like to have just one forums too. In a perfect world we would have a forum that would be like a tree, supporting several levels (think vBulletin).

That is we could have some nodes expanded and some (like an Archive section) minimized (or even better people could choose what categories they want to see maximized :)).

But for now I think everything is fine.. and to address the issue of dead forums:

Why remove them? Why have one thread? I think after a thread gets long enough it warrants the creation of its own forum (at least for a game), and if that forum dies out we can move it towards the bottom to make room for more active forums :).

I like the one forum page and the way they are arranged. but they arrangement could use some little changes.

We could create an Archived Topics section and toss there all the old Reloaded Discussion stuff, and all the old game forums (JK, KOTOR, Galaxies). Site Updates has little use, I think as not many people look in there.

Guest posting could be allowed in the question by newbies area and in Site Feedback (if this topic gets to stay).

I agree.

Along the same lines as Trej was saying, I think maybe we should make an archived topics section, only it we could also include some of the most popular threads of all time such as "Animated GIFs" and "Beeing Promoted In The Forums", many of which have long and exitensive discussions that are quite useful as reference material.

Use one forum, the forums are arranged fine, more emoitions would be good, and guest posting might be nice (except moderators would need to keep a close eye on this, because we'll undoubtably get some people who'll just post crap)

Sorry for a double-post, but I figured this might spark some interest:

I was thinking we could take a poll to find out what language people speak here most other than English and then make a forum specifically for and in that language, similiar to what this website did and it seems to work pretty well. It would allow people who don't use English as a primary language to join, allowing the community to grow. It could always be a forum that is specifically devoted to non-English threads...

...just an idea.

Ic think that may be a little hard to set up since you would already need a several moderators who speak the language and anyway considering that i think that most of our active forum members come from english speaking countrie (England, USA Australia, ...) i don't really think there is aneed to create a seperate forum.

That wouldn't be a bad idea if it helped drive non-English users to our site, :), but are there a majority of minorities here? Post your 2nd language here along with more suggestions ;).

I like the layout of the forums as they are. However i would like to see the members-only forums in hidden status so they are not visable to all the members. Likewise the inactive forums do not need to be on general viewing either. Whilst the site admin would still have to trawl though them to reach the end the rest of us wouldnt have to.

That's a good point, but I believe many people here know and understand at least one other language. Additionally, I think two members of the Support Staff (ie. Trej and Scath) both understand quite a few languages, so...

Over the years of being in the forums, I believe the second most commonly understood language is German, but I could be wrong.

Its not that I don't appreciate those that are biligual or multiligigual, I just don't see the advantages do supporting other languages here.

This isn't really a site to focus on one language or another. It is to focus on SWRebellion and related areas. We need a common language in order to communicate - for this site it is english. If you want a French, Spanish, Chinese, etc Star Wars community, there are plenty of sites that will cater to the language of your preference.

I see your point about the Reloaded Members Only area. And it has been done.

Any other forums we should work on, consolidate, change?

Should we continue to use one forum?: Yes, our forums are not diverse enough, imo, to justifiy the use of multiple forums...

Do you like the way the forums are arranged?: Yes, more or less, although I feel certain categories or topics could be revised...

Are there any forums features that you would like enabled? Which features could be enabled?

Are there some forums inactive that should be removed?: Not removed, really... maybe revised...

- JK forums has not been posted in months, there's only a few posts on the other games, and its not like there is any new news for them

Would you like a seperate forums for the SW Mods? Warlords?

Would you want forums allowed for guest posting? Respectively: No, no and no.

Would you like an easier URL to the forums? http://www.swrebellion.com/forums/ maybe? Yes and yes...
