Jahled Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 After a pause of nearly a year, my email has suddenly started getting topic reply notifications. Lots of them everytime I check my email. Anyone else getting this? It's very strange. http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
Darth-Griffin Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I have noticed some erratic behavior in the auto reply feature. http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/2350/darth1b3bu.jpgVisit the forums > The Galactic Core Forums
Mad78 Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I always receive topic reply notifications. must have about a thousand of them in my gmail account. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Trejiuvanat Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I never used them, so I cannot report anything about it. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
Grand_Admiral_Thrawn Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Although I have the feature dissabled, I do occasionally recieve topic reply notifications. I had assumed I had somehow requested such a notification for certain topics. History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.

SOCL Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 SWR just doesn't like to work for me sometimes. It's weird, really because I haven't seen a topic reply notification, though, since like when I first joined... And I know, despite my brief and not-so-brief absences, I have posted/spammed since I first joined... Jahled Posted March 2, 2005 Author Posted March 2, 2005 Right, well it's getting wierder... I can't stay logged out. I log out. I check i'm logged out and apparently i'm logged out. Ie: homepage informs me i'm not logged on! Then I return to log back in, only to see i'm already logged on, and don't have to log on.... I fear I have drifted into the twilight zone.... but this is beginning to do my head in.... Edit: ***wades through gothic-style grave yard shrouded in mist*** Yet again! Darth-Griffin Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 Jahled if you clear you cookies & temp internet files it should rectify that problem. It is a fairly common phpbb cookie issue. You could also set your browser to check for new versions each time you visit as well.Hope that sorts it for you. http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/2350/darth1b3bu.jpgVisit the forums > The Galactic Core Forums

Darth-Griffin Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Thanks Yep we get the army as well Had about 15 inches of snow here over the last few days. Not a lot by international standards, but given the total inadaquate response from local councils we could be in for a while yet. Got all the basics though & as long as the power holds out we will be fine. According to the news we have more to come as well http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/2350/darth1b3bu.jpgVisit the forums > The Galactic Core Forums
Krytos Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Had about 15 inches of snow here over the last few days. Bugger! ! That's a lot of snow Hey Jahled, I had that same problem - started a few weeks ago. It stopped after Service Pack 2 crashed during installation and killed half my computer and I had to effectively re-install eveything . . . Hmm, just delelete your cookies like Griffin said - it's probably easier http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1333/3dartistbanneranimationws1.gifhttp://img154.imageshack.us/img154/4026/rebellionbannerdi2.gif

Mad78 Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Trej is actually in Costa Rica. That explains why he doesn't have much snow. Switzerland has had a bit of snow and even quite alot at some point but nothing since. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance

Mad78 Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Do you mean that it should be colder of warmer? You have to understand that when it is winter in the northern hemisphere it is summer in the southern. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance

AdmiralFishface Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 SOCL and Mad, I believe you are talking different temperature scales here... A quick calculation reveals 35°C to be 95°F (while 35°F would indeed be rather cold...) Confusion gone? And start talking in meters, while you're at it mumble, mumble... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/RiesstiuIV/Krempel/trapaure.gif

Trejiuvanat Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 Good thing the confusion is gone, I've never quite understood why Fahrenheits exist. Only the half-crazy U.S Americans use it... Damn heat... One day I'll start melting in the street and it has a negative effect on my economy, I've been having way too much icecream these days... http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
Stellar_Magic Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 Good thing the confusion is gone, I've never quite understood why Fahrenheits exist. Only the half-crazy U.S Americans use it... The system we Americans use is known as English Standard. It was developed in England and spread across the globe, now it only remains in a few places, mainly America (Does england still use it?) Why? Because metric is based on scientific and easily transferable values. Moreover English standard is really confusing, 12 inches in a foot, 36 inches in a yard, and how many yards in a mile. While Metric is easier, 1000mm = 100 cm = 1 m = 0.001 km. So why does America still use English Standard, we're stubborn.
